Square Enix To Release The Last Remnant Over Steam, Utilizes Steamworks

Square Enix has teamed up with Valve Software to release the PC edition of its Unreal Engine 3 powered action RPG The Last Remnant on Steam.

The title is slated to hit the service on April 9 and will mark the first time a Square Enix developed effort has been distributed over Steam. Additionally, The Last Remnant will utilize Valve's recently launched Steamworks toolset for saving game-specific configuration data across multiple PCs.

I think it is. GTA IV is Games for Windows but still was sold over Steam.

<p>I hope it's not a full GFW integration. Retarded MS service. It nearly ruined Fallout 3 and GTA4 for me. Steam is fine, it opens up quick and it's got an acceptable DRM. </p>
