It's official, Gearbox's addictive open-world RPG Borderlands has reached double platinum status. The revelation was revealed as part of a investors conference call wrapping up year end results, with publisher Take-Two stating that two million copies of the title had been sold to date. Also, Take-Two once again <a href="http://exophase.com/ps3/borderlands-now-a-key-franchise-for-take-two-13267.htm" target="_blank">reiterated</a> its intentions to expand on the concept of Borderlands and make it a "key franchise," meaning future installments down the road are a certainty.
