Just when you thought things couldn't get any more ridiculous: Valve pulled the final curtain on the Sniper versus Spy update for Team Fortress 2 today, revealing Jarate as the final item unlock engineered for everyone's favorite Aussie sharpshooter. Essentially a bottle of yellow urine, the item was first seen in the "Meet the Sniper" video clip and later teased as an April Fools joke.
Serving as an annoyance to pesky Spies, Jarate is able to short out cloaking devices on impact. Additionally, showering Jarate on nearby teammates boosts resilience towards fire-based attacks. Enemies covered in the bodily waste receive up to 35 percent more damage for a certain period of time.
If you have taken an interest in all the craziness but still have yet to pick up TF2, a free weekend will kick off tomorrow to coincide with this update, inviting all Steam users to play. Would be wise to begin pre-loading now before all the aforementioned goods hit.
