Valve has been busy working away at patches for its most recently released title Left 4 Dead, but that doesn't mean the promised class updates for Team Fortress 2 have been put on hold. Word from the developer's official blog is that the Scout pack is coming next and will be released after the next round of updates hit, which are primarily focused on fixing bugs and adding Steam Cloud support for syncing settings across multiple machines.[blockquote2]We've got an update that should be out tomorrow with a bunch of bug & exploit fixes. Later this week we hope to have another update out that changes the way we store your unlockable items. You shouldn't notice much difference, other than if you play on multiple computers we'll now propagate your item choices. You can think of that update as the one that moves your inventory into the Steam Cloud. Once that's out of the way, we'll be able to ship the Scout pack.[/blockquote2]In true Valve fashion, no release date was provided. But seeing as both these patches are due out this week, a February release for the Scout pack is reasonable to expect.
That's what I'm talking about! [Valve Software]
