:w00t: THANK YOU. That's awesome, Lufia 2, never seen anyone else that loves that game like me.
This was kinda tough, but here goes-
1. Lufia II: RotS (SNES)- This game kicks major ass. That's it, awesome plot, cool characters (Guy's a total badass:biggrin

, sweet gameplay, awesome graphics, treasures galore, just all around ass-kickin'.
2. Earthbound (SNES)- The best 'offbeat' game ever, too quirky not to love, cool story, wacky and memorable characters. "SMAAAAAASH!" *Homerun Bat'd*
3. Final Fantasy III/VI (SNES, PSX, GBA)- Best FF, long as hell (IMO), cool characters, spells, world, story, awesome.
4. Valkyrie Profile (PSX, PSP)- Best RPG for PSX, loved the characters and battle system to no end.
5. Angband/Variants (PC, PSP)- Best roguelike game(s) ever, my favorite is Hengband, which someone would port it to the PSP (Hengband, that is).
Close Runners- Mega Man Series (all of 'em, many systems) Sugoro's Quest (NES), Sweet Home (NES), Super Mario RPG (SNES), Perfect Dark (N64), Paper Mario (N64), Secret of Mana/Seiken Densetsu 3 (SNES), Saga Frontier (PSX), ESIV: Oblivion (X360), Castlevania SotN (PSX), God Hand (PS2), Stepmania (PC)
I know that turned into more than just a simple top 5, but it's hard to sum up 16 years (since I was 3) of gaming to a short list.
