Ubisoft Places Faith In 3D, Expects 50 Percent Market Penetration By 2012

Stereoscopic 3D is already being heralded as the "next big thing" by some. The skeptical side of us says it's too early to say yet. Logistics aside, publisher Ubisoft believes that the tech is rife with potential. During a conference call earlier this week, company head honcho Yves Guillemot noted his belief that 15-20 percent of titles will adopt the tech by next tech, with a total coverage of 50 percent to follow by 2012.<!--more-->
