It probably posted an equal drop in sales. If I were a publisher I'd go with the 'bigger sales' option, regardless of the piracy.
 
Umm... how do they tell if a pirated game is being pirated? Most PC gamers I know just avoid Ubisoft now because of their DRM.
 
yeah, probably because no one wanted to even torrent their shit, or buy it because of the DRM.

Well I for one hope that there are torrents of games they release with the DRM cricumvented , so when I buy whatever game it is , I can play without that constant internet bullshit.
What if my network goes down due to a random DNS error?
