So, Epic announced UT2k14 today!

Important stuff to note:

- Free, but not free-to-play (maybe DOTA/TF2-like?)
- Crowdsourced
- Crowedfunded
- Designed by comitee (jk, though it sounds like it)

What do you guys think about it? I was hyped for the announcement until they went to the free part. That hosed me down back to earth but hey, it's UT! Although, I wonder how much of the forum feedback they are gonna take, and how much of the game they are actually gonna develop. Because it sounds like they are going to let everyone do their work for them.

I haven't read too much into it but when they said it was free and not "free-to-play" I think they were implying that there wouldn't be micro transactions in-game as generally "free-to-play" means microtransactions included. They've been in need of a good refresh for the UT series - I have no idea how well this will work out or not.
