Japanese PlayStation 3 owners will soon be able to download high-definition video to their PS3, when Sony launches its on-demand video service early next year.
According to a Variety report, the service's first paid offerings will include motor-racing videos and a BBC car documentary aimed at Gran Turismo fans. Each of the initial content offerings will cost about $1.85 to download online.
To celebrate the launch of the service and as a tribute to GT fans, Sony will offer free downloads of "The GT-R Legend Inside Story I," the first of an in-depth three-part documentary about the Nissan GT-R. The documentary will be free until December 6, with the other two chapters to the documentary hitting at a later date, after the launch of GT5: Prologue.
