Im gonna guess anything since he's listed a football, basketball, and baseball team.

Mine would be Houston Rockets for basketball and FC Barcelona/Houston Dynamo for soccer.

If you get Artest to play like a team player, ill give you kudos. And hes past his defensive prime at this point, theres not much left to make him "play better". Good luck Phil Jackson.

Red Sox, UNLV Rebels (all college sports), New Orleans Saints, Cleveland Cavaliers, and AC Milan.

i think artest is trash his shot % is 28% compared to ariza 48% and scores about 10 points more per game

When has Artest not played like a team player?

Did you watch him this season? I mean, maybe a bit better prior, but he puts it on himself in many situations this year to not pass for the benefit of the team, and i doubt it was just because of the responsibility of "carrying the team". Theres been a majority of moments where hes played Artest basketball, instead of Rockets basketball. I mean hell, he's been triple teamed and still taken the shot (with a miss of course), and Artest throws up some of the nastiest threes i've seen.

And also, everyone knew itd be the Cavs and the Lakers in the finals, huh?

He was the best player on your sorry fuckin' team until Aaron Brooks feasted on the corpses of Derek Fisher and Jordan Farmar. Don't bite the hand that fed you.

wooa take it easy.. half of the time artest is in jail or suspened but he did help a lil... tmac has never been the same like he was in magic... and ming is porb going to retire cuz his ankle

I've said this a million times, if somebody throws a cup of water at me, I'm kicking his fuckin' ass, I don't care who I am, or what the situation is... Especially when I just spend the last 2 hours playing a competitive game of basketball.

I don't know, I just don't understand why people shit on Artest so much. He wasn't even the catalyst of that fight, it was mostly Jermaine O' Neal and Stephen Jackson.

He's still great on defense... He couldn't shut down Kobe, but then again nobody can. He did better than most do. And dude can still put up 25 when needed.

Seeing him go to the Lakers is pretty much my worst nightmare.

What? Ron Artest has never been in jail... And he's only suspended all the time because of that one fight that, like I said, wasn't his fault.

Haha, besides Yao. And i also said that he wasn't a team player, i never said he was a BAD player. He led our team, i accept that, and he did the best job he could do, but at the same time he saw himself as a player he's not. He took outside shots like he thought he could, when one of his best attributes was posting up. Even Aaron Brooks said in an interview, "Yknow Artest is gonna take his ridiculous shots, but you take it as it is". Im just replying to blacksheep on the matter of him getting better, and the way i see him getting better, is either learning that he isnt top tier or getting his defense back to his old self. He's still going to be a huge help, a better one i see, than Ariza was at his state to the Lakers, but thats the only way i see him getting any better.

Ill agree that he helped lead us to where we got, but so did the rest of the whole team, when he played well, he helped us alot, when he didnt, which was a shitload of the time, he was a detriment.

dude take it easy. look at artest numbers there terible 28% and i think 16 points per game
that wasnt the only time he was suspended

I didn't say it was, but he only gets suspended because he has an unwarrented reputation that stems from that fight. He gets suspended for things that others would only get fines for. Besides, when was the last time he got suspended?

And sports are about more than numbers, buddy... I don't know if you know this.

And stop telling me to take it easy. I'm not "uneasy".

17.2 im pretty sure, and wheres the numbers for his D? Thats his best attribute. He's not too bad at the 3 either, but he can take some ugly shots.

Your team played just as good with out Yao, and that was 100% because of two things. LA's complete inability to defend guards, and Ron Artest. He shoots a lot of bad shots, but there isn't a superstar in the league that doesn't.

I cringe every time Lebron takes a three pointer... That's how the NBA works.

I don't know, I just don't understand why people shit on Artest so much.

Let me add "because of that incident" to that post and ill agree wholeheartedly.

What he did actually made me respect him alot, he didn't take shit, and like they said in ESPN later, players go through so much heat and they dont do anything, so you gotta understand when he gets mad after someone takes a cheap shot at him.

And plus its Artest.
