i want to ask a question, why we donot pay for sony's game, and run Homebrew in our psp.
i think if HEN do not support ISO/CSO ,sony well change his view of Homebrew.

Basing off of past HEN versions, it won't. You need full custom firmware access before being able to run ISOs.

There was, but Booster hasn't even been heard of in a long time, so nobody is around to make it compatible. Plus this new version is supposedly stripped down.

Well you never know, maybe he'll make an appearance soon! Either that someone else could step and release an update.

HEN is a very basic homebrew enabler is a true core to homebrew. HEN doesn't support ISO's and most likely never will. My stance against piracy is strong and support is incredibly unlikely.

Though HEN itself doesn't support ISOs and the ability to run them, could a program like devhook be capable of running them through HEN?

*sorry for hijack*

It's possible but like all things its going to need to be updated to be included on this new HEN and seeing that Davee doesn't support piracy, it might be a while before we see a ISO loader at all.

I agree that, if HEN will not support ISO's, Sony will see Homebrew in a different perspective. And who knows, More games will start to be published. Its been quite a dry season for good games lately.

3Q,i think most Hackers like you do not want to support Piracy,
and a platform that do not support ISO/CSO is enough for
some one who just want to run Homebrew makd by themselves.

Game is just a small areas on PSP.

i do smile on Homebrew, and do not like Piracy, although those software is too expensive for someones.

Davee, thanks a lot for that. I'm sure you'll receive lots of hate mails from angry kids because of that, but stay strong, more people than you think completely agree with that point of view :)

i don't think dave would know how to do it even if he wanted to. maybe he can't even implement it. it's a HEN, not a CFW so i don't think it could made possible anyways.

This is a good decision... event if we can imagine that a lot of devs runs on the way to be the first to publish a devhook for your HEN :)

Great decision.

I totally agree on the fact that the HEN should not load PSP iso ... but I admit I would like to be able to my PS1 games
Is there a link between being able to load iso and use a PS1 emulator?

Hes just not including it for the good of the future of the PSP, he could easily implement it ISO support if he really wanted to. In future if you have nothing helpful to say to Davee or any other developer why dont you keep it to yourself?

This. If any pirate child wants to moan a scream about having no ISO feel free to implement it yourself.

We should all be happy that Davee is taking his time to make a HEN. For those of you who want an ISO loader, you're not alone. I'm sure someone will study how Davee's HEN worls and make an ISO loader with it.

Be patient.
