I don't know if there has been an announcement about this,
but if you have a Wii with the Homebrew channel, there's this amazing thing I found called the Homebrew Browser, it's like the Wii Shop Channel but its for Home Brew.
You can download Emu, Games, Apps, and Demos straight to your SD card without messing with any files, it evens updates the current ones you have and deletes the one you don't want any more. Only files you have to mess with really is installing the browser and pasting Roms. So it's easy and convenient stuff.
It's pretty cool.
