With limited resources, no documentation and a semi-source from n00b81, it's hard to understand how it sort of works.
Unfortunately this is how it's for pretty much everyone.
If you want to do some serious research on how the PSP interna works (that's what you need to know), you should make intense use of the search functions on PS2Dev Forums, LAN.ST Forums and especially The Google.

The following note goes especially for PS2Dev: Use the search! Do not just walk in and post a thread "Please tell me how to do it".
I really mean this as a friendly advise, the guys at PS2Dev are cool and REALLY know what they are talking about, but they really can't stand newbs asking stuff w/o having stuff already figured out by themselfs - and that's for reason BTW....

Most likely not, no.

I took a quick look at the internals of the TIFF. It seems to have a corrupted JPEGTables tag (tag ID 347). I took a peek at the TIFF spec, and it doesn't even list that tag. So uhhh, not really sure what's going on there. There's an extension spec detailed here: TIFF Tech Note 2 on TIFF - RemoteSensing.org

However, I don't really have the time to look at it any better now. Much less dig into it. I'm TAing a security course this semester :o

Also found this:
DocumentName: /home/karol/Downloads/4758024.tif

Yeah...I'm SURE this "CoDr" or whatever person found it :P
Anyway, even if I did dig into it, I don't really have much motivation to actually do anything with it anymore. The scene these days is kind of...poor. There's a lot of drama these days. Fun with people who know what they're doing spiting people who want piracy. Both sides are sort of taking the low road here. Leaving the people who want piracy hanging is one thing. Dangling a carrot in front of them is something else entirely.

is this real???

btw what happend to the arrgh smiles

I'm sorry, I don't think I was being clear. My intention was to create a eloader, I really don't want to move onto the kernel just yet. With limited resources, no documentation and a semi-source from n00b81, it's hard to understand how it sort of works.

The sources are complete, minus the syscall code, which we will keep private to ourselves, for obvious reasons :) But if a respectable dev wants to help code for the eloader, they could try PM'ing m0skit0 to get it, but he'll probably want to see something beneficial in return, so it doesn't just look like you're trying to take the code ;)

As far as documentation goes - everything m0skit0 and I learned about the eloader was based on what we already knew, or learned from the great guys at ps2dev. If you need to learn about the internals of the eloader, I suggest you first head over to ps2dev forums like Hellcat suggested, and search for "MOHH eloader" to try and find all the threads started by m0skit0. You should also go on m0skit0's forums, I know for sure he posted some of the steps that went into writing the eloader, such as NID resolving, etc.

Agreed ;)

... Yes, But, what will someone do if they have a PSP 3000 or 2000 88v3 with >5.03 fw? ;)

Someone finds a workable exploit for 5.05+ and creates a downgrader to install 5.03 OFW and then everyone is happy. No need for 6.xx HEN/CFW.

Does anyone not make the exploit/hack/whatever first before "YouTubing" or "BlogSpotting" it anymore? It's like every site I go on there's someone talking about a new exploit.

IMO, all of these videos of "exploits" that are immediately exposed as fake are signs of showing that the scene is living on an oxygen tank.

OK, this thread has gone it's way it seems - time for my favourite kind of action ;)

However, if someone has something constructive to add -> let me know I'll reopen it for that.

Until then, spamcan closed.
