Anyone know of a program I can run to brute force a WPA PSK?
There are like 700 strong 2Wire connections near where I'm at and I want in on some of them. I know the default pass for a 2Wire is just random 8bit hex so it should not take too long to crack if I just leave my desktop working on it 24-7.
I know you can use a few programs to packet sniff and decrypt a WPA PSK on linux (and I also know my wifi card is compatible with said programs) but it's hard to get linux on my computer when I don't have any internet access. I already tried driving around to find a unsecured network in the area but all the signals were too weak to download a whole linux distro ISO.
(I'm on a borrowed sprint wireless card that I can't use up the bandwith to download fucking ISO's on... and it's slow as fuck anyway.)
[EDIT] And I know there are Rainbow Tables for WPA now too but that shit is like 7-30 gigs.
