Fancy blasting pixelated aliens to bits? The Xbox Live Arcade is about to receive a blast of retro flavor from the 1970s, with Microsoft announces today that Space Invaders Extreme is set to hit the service this coming Wednesday.
Deeming it worthy of the extreme label, the revamp of this classic features newly-sequenced electronic tracks and faster gameplay, once again proving that the age-old distraction of shooting down extraterrestrial baddies never grows old. Coupled with the aformentioned enhancements are mid-game bonus rounds that give players the opportunity to multiply their score by varying amounts.
Developed by Taito, Space Invaders Extreme will debut at the standard digital rate of 800 MS points.
