Xbox profile achievements are not updating

Anntoru

New Member
Hello,

My Xbox gamertag is “Δnntøru”, but Exophase is unable to locate my profile data correctly or update my achievements.

The issue appears to be caused by the special characters in my gamertag. Exophase attempts to access my profile using the following address:

https://www.xbox.com/en-US/play/user/Δnntøru

However, Xbox uses an alternative version of my name, “Anntoru”, for the public profile URL. The correct address is:

https://www.xbox.com/en-US/play/user/Anntoru

Although my visible gamertag is still “Δnntøru”, Exophase needs to use “Anntoru” to locate the profile on Xbox.com. It currently appears to search only for the URL based on my original gamertag, which prevents it from retrieving and refreshing my achievements.

Could you manually correct the Xbox profile URL associated with my Exophase account, or allow Exophase to use “Anntoru” as the profile lookup identifier?

Thank you.

Hi - the URL thing is a separate issue, but I can confirm we are picking up your profile details when doing a scan. The issue is that your game activity seems to be private.

And the Xbox.com website is showing the same - I tried visiting https://www.xbox.com/en-US/play/user/Anntoru under my own account and it's not showing any of your games.

Thank you for the response. I can confirm that the issue has now been resolved.

As you mentioned, Exophase was correctly detecting my profile details, so the URL issue was separate. The actual cause was related to my Xbox privacy settings.

I checked the current privacy options, and “Others can see your game and app history” was already set to “Everyone.” However, that setting alone was not sufficient. I also had to enable:

“Others can see your activity feed” — Everyone

After changing that option, my games and activity became publicly visible, and Exophase was able to update my profile correctly.

It appears that the current Exophase instructions are partially outdated, as they refer to an older version of the Xbox privacy settings. In the current interface, allowing others to see the game and app history may not be enough; the activity feed also needs to be visible.

It may be useful to update the guide to include this additional setting.

Thank you again for helping me identify the cause of the issue.

Good to know. I will get that updated soon.
