Checking for windows updates on the MS site.

what are you using XP or Vista?
just look for check for updates on your control panel, that is what i just did, but i was already up to date.

Window Xp service pack 2.Btw I did this then bring me to the update site, I click express then just continue to check system for latest updates.

I tried doing custom ended up doing the same
Im going try the tools you give me if all fails, then im going reinstall my OS system, download the update, virus scan and reinstall everything for the again.

Thx, well im just going reinstall my OS system tomorrow once I finish installing everything on my psp my parts should be here tomorrow..
If my computer doesn't work I just sell it for parts lol.
Edit-Im trying the Symantec last resort.

The recover disc should format my hardrive and reinstall the xp to how it was I 1st bought it
I change my password to my msn, and this on my psp tomorrow to be safe.

System Repair big difference.
System Repair=Formats Hardrive and reinstall OS
System Restore=Go back to another time when your pc was working.

How long did you leave it?

In my experience it can take 5-10 mins just checking for updates, especially when going from SP2 to SP3.

Still waiting for update I say about 30mins?
Btw I did the scan ,antivirus and other tool nothing was found. I try updating again tomorrow maybe the server is over loaded.
