I'm new to the PSP scene and now that homebrews are coming to the new motherboards, I'm wondering that if I do sommething incredibly stupid, is there an unbricker that will work on the new motherboard?

I doubt homebrew would brick your psp anyway, even if you are new to the psp scene.

But no, no unbricker for the TA-088V3 mobo, so far.

Didn't you ask basically the same question last night..

Unsigned IPL (also known as custom IPL) fails to boot off the MemoryStick on the PSP-2000s equipped with the TA-088 V3 motherboard. That means the Pandora core / firmware cannot start up on those models, and thus - no unbricking is currently possible.

Yep.

Here's a simple prevention technique though: Don't touch anything in your flash0/nand and you won't screw things up.

Yep. He's right. That's how most bricks happen. When you are completely clueless about what you are doing with flash0 files, that is very dangerous.

So how can you have access to flash0 on a TA-088 V3??

Enlighten us :D ?

So if i screw up, it's the end for my PSP?

Well, how did it originally get bricked? Was it in a s0ny updater or using the Pandora's Battery method?

He hasn't bricked it. He's just asking that if he does, is there any way he can fix it. That's what THIS thread says anyways... apparently he has another thread going here: PSP My friend's PSP bricked...please help - M for Mature Forums

Anyways, I think this thread has served its purpose now. Your question has been answered :)

IF

It WILL be definitely a Sony (ooppsss Don't misspell it or you'll be called trol/ignorant)$0nyUpdate.

Homebrews (with unassigned) code like Pandora ipl will never run ..it'll just displays error.....

Ugh, since nobody can read and this thread has served its purpose, I'm going to close it now.

Just to clarify for people, the thread creator has not specified that he has bricked his PSP yet. He is just asking that if he does something harmful to his PSP that would result in it bricking, if there would be any way he would be able to reflash & fix it.

The simple answer to this is no: because there is no way we can access the flash0 of these PSP's through pandora. The motherboards block any sort of access in that way. Another reason is because these PSP's currently have no recovery mode to recover from semi-bricks.

It also appears that he has created another thread here where he specifies that he has indeed bricked his PSP. PSP My friend's PSP bricked...please help - M for Mature Forums Any further discussion can go there...
