MFM Health Thread

Whatever you do, I'd advice against Googling for symptoms. Couple years ago I did that once when I didn't feel well and thought I had a brain tumor o_O. Scared myself shitless and only made things worse. Do you have any allergies? If it only started this past week it might just be the weather. When my allergies act up I tend to only feel like drinking liquids, for some people it could be the opposite. Also are you under any stress? Sometimes people compulsively eat to get their mind off things.

No alergies... And I'm under stress, but no more than I have been for the last 3 years... Probably less now than ever, since I'm not opining over a woman for the first time in over 2 years.

I started with google, but that's when I started talking to my friend Alicia, who's in nursing school. Obviously, not exactly a professional diagnosis, but she's pretty smart, and is training in this.

It's really the best I can do with no money or health insurgence. Thank god republican's are keeping from socialist health care... Thank god.

Suck It
While working this past summer as a mover, I was obviously doing quite a bit of exercise/lifting. The reason I'm mentioning this is because, like you, I was constantly always fucking hungry. Thinking about it all the time, and could eat tons of food without much thought. The reason I guess this happened was because my body needed more energy to function at a capacity to let me do what I was doing. Burning off lots of energy resulted in needing more intake. This is why I assume was why I was so hungry this past summer.

I know you've lost a lot of weight over the last while, so maybe your body is finally catching up with you? You need more energy to keep things going? I dunno

Possibly, but it seems kind of random. I rapidly lost weight from April '08 to about October '08, but I only lost about 20-30 Lbs from January '09, to now. I definitely haven't been doing as much exercise as I should be doing. I've run twice this week, but that was the first time in almost a month.

I don't know, maybe I'm dying, or maybe I'm a fucking hypochondriac with no will power. I guess we'll find out in a little while, eh?

Jesus man, get a grip. Since when did stuffing your face ever go hand in hand with impending doom?

Heh, your worried about that?

Ulcerative colitis - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ulcerative colitis (Colitis ulcerosa, UC) is a form of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Ulcerative colitis is a form of colitis, a disease of the intestine, specifically the large intestine or colon, that includes characteristic ulcers, or open sores, in the colon. The main symptom of active disease is usually constant diarrhea mixed with blood, of gradual onset.

Try living with blood everytime you go to the toilet.

Because if it has anything to do with diabetes (which I'm probably going to get at some point, because of my family's history), I'm fucked.

Los Doyers!
Does anybody know why I'm constantly hungry all of a sudden? For the past week, I've had an absolutely ravenous appetite, and I have no idea why. I can't fill my self... In fact, I want to eat, RIGHT NOW. I would normally chaulk this up to boredom, but I've been chronically bored for the last 21 years, and I've never had a hunger streak like this. Usually I can have a day where for about 6-7 hours, my appetite go's off the charts, and then I evenutally get full, but I've been like this for the last week. Every day I wake up, for 14 hours, my first and last thoughts are food.

This is seriously bothering me. I haven't been doing any weird diets. I hardly get any exercise (even though I try). I'm kind of worried. I'd go to a doctor, but I have no money or insurance... I'm sort of stuck with what the internet can tell me.

I am at the complete opposite right here. I can't eat. I wake up, go the whole day without eating then eat a small meal at around 5 or 6pm.
And when I do eat, I eat a little bit and get full, but I know I still want to eat but just can't.

The weird thing is I haven't lost or gain any weight and this has been happening for the past week.

I'm pretty healthy I think weight-wise... 133 and I'm about 5'10ish

Logic :(
Taking a note from slasher.

My April 24th update currently 184.8 pounds (not a typo that's when I weighed myself.)

I've began a new work out regiment recently which focuses on nightly runs. At the moment I can barely run a mile without stopping. I'm hoping to increase the distance and time. Tomorrow I plan on timing myself to see where I am at. Not sure where I expect to be in a month but hopefully will trim 15-30 seconds off my time.

Before this I have been doing nightly sit ups averaging around 20 mins. Hopefully if I continue this trend I will trim up a little more.

Personal Update:
It's been almost a year since this thread was created and I am now 154 pounds (down from 184 I started at... Thanks guys for the tips :D ). I now have a decently toned body and currently working on getting that elusive six pack. Does anyone know of a good workout regiment for achieving one?

Congrats on the improvement ^^ honestly the only way I achieved what little abs I have is from doing curl-ups...and I do those about once a year when I have gym class. xD I apparently have a very fast metabolism because I sit on my ass all day and eat whatever I want, and gain nothing. *ish still under 100 pounds* o_O I would like to try and eat healthier and work out more, but I am just so confused. Fitting in exercise and healthy eating is important to me, I just need someone to help me figure out what to do...
