Make sure you have at least 75% battery 100% is best Don't at anytime unplug you cable to restart your psp during the process I would read through the whole guide once just to make sure you understand everything first. One more thing this is a link to some details posted by ic3 thx.http://forums.exophase.com/showthread.php?t=2728

This is where I got everything it's from a korean website. I'll now post up everything in a step by step process.

1. Download these files by following links
For CFW file- http://dl.qj.net/PSP-custom-firmware:-CFW-v3.51-M33-PSP/pg/12/fid/14098/catid/163
For 3.51 Update- http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/1189
For 1.50 Update-http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/4

2. uncompress it using your favourite software winrar works for me.
(Make sure to name the 3.51 file 351.PBP and the 1.50 file 150.PBP)

3. Now if you are on 1.5 or under go to 1.5 and place the 1.50 only folder in the M33 download under your PSP/GAME/ folder. Then go to XMB and run the program.

4. Once done if you are 1.50 copy the M33CREATOR folder to your PSP/GAME/ folder.

4b. If you are on custom firmware copy it to your PSP/GAME/GAME150/ folder.

5. Now get those two eboot files and place them in the M33CREATOR folder.

6. Once you are done that disconnect usb and go to your game memory stick folder in the XMB. Run the M33 CREATOR. Once it is done it will go back to the XMB.

7. Go again to the same spot and now run the 3.51 M33UPDATE. Read through it and see if you are comfortable with what your about to do. Then press X to begin or R to exit.

8. After the process is complete it will give you a message and you will be prompted to restart by pressing X. Go ahead and do it. Then turn your psp back on. If everything went well you should be running 3.51 M33.:w00t:

Well hope this guide helped. Here is the actual readme included in the update folder.
I thought my guide was a bit more helpful rep would be nice and if anything is said wrong feel free to tell me. Also You must acknowledge that if anything goes wrong it is not my or anyone elses responsibility but your own. There is a risk.

I've upgraded, and all my customizations still work, but for some reason the coldboot sound is loaded from elsewhere, so that customization won't work for now, until someone figures out which file it's in.

Everything else works fine so far, with no problems, except CWCheat is broken for now.

Actually I didn't. I followed the readme. And I actually accidentally posted that in your guide instead of the thread in General. Identical topic names, but totally different sections XD

It's a pretty good guide, though. But since I've been updating my PSP's CFW since 3.03 OE-B, it's become a pretty fast and easy process for me. Main difference with M33 as opposed to OE, was that the Creator made the installer for you, you didn't have to copy two programs to your memory stick or move any files around after running the creator. It did it all for you.

EDIT:
Looks like x3sphere made his own official eXophase CFW 3.51 M33 Install Guide. But props for having yours up first :D

Thanks, nice guide :) Yeah I put my own up just to simplify things a bit... but I'll leave this one here in PSP General, incase someone forgets to check the FAQ forum.

If you're on any official firmware other than 1.5, then it won't work.
What firmware do you have.
