Wouldn't be easier and faster for everyone if users could add untracked games to the library on their own?

If something would be bad or it didn't meet site standards mods could easily remove that kind of game.

It's a good thought but I think this wouldn’t really work well, as it would lead to a lot of duplicates being created in the database. Since there's a lot of different variations for some titles, and users may not bother to check... so then it would fall on us to clean things up.

Btw, the reason I am slow on approving yours is the images on that site don’t really crop well to our icon dimensions. Unless you don't mind if I just add them without images and look later. I usually have to find alternate images and it takes time. I try to avoid adding images that have nudity as well. Personally I don't care that it does, but in light of things like age verification being mandated for social media platforms in some countries now it's something we'd rather avoid.

It's a problem if a game has NSFW cover, yes, and mamy erogames have them since japanese don't care, but that isn't a problem, really, because every game i linked has gallery at the bottom with SFW screens. I should write about that in my previous post, sorry.

Every site has rules. I don't plan to brake any of them. I'm just interested in untracked games being added here. Exophase was always great idea for me for having the option of having every game on one big profile even if you play on your kitchen fridge only.

The real problem of the site is that many old or already added games have broken images. New tracked games have priority, obviously, but it breaks my heart everytime i see it. There is no solution for it since you have to fix that manually and everything ends with people constantly nagging mods about things that were supposedly been taken care of.

So a lot of images for the manually added games are broken currently as our primary source for that data (GiantBomb) is under new ownership now and they simply took their old database and API offline without any warning.

I'm not exactly sure when they did it, I think around December of last year.

More recently I did get in contact with someone that saved all the images so we might be able to fill from that. Assuming I can match up the asset IDs with the existing information we have saved from GiantBomb, this would fix most of the images that are currently showing up as broken.

We are also looking at switching to a different provider for this information now that GB seems unreliable. IGDB is the top choice, but open to other options... https://www.igdb.com/

A migration to IGDB is likely further out though as it'll be a decent amount of work matching up the existing data to their database. Hopefully we can salvage some of the old GiantBomb data to fix images for existing games in the meantime.
 
Neverness to Everness can't be added for PC manually. Game is already in the database for PS5, but also it seems changing platform to PS5 didn't allow to pick the game.

Question: would it be weird to request certain DLCs / Expansion Packs / Fan Mods to be selectable as separate game entries?

I'm thinking stuff like
  • Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree [a DLC with a full game's worth of content that never had separate achievements]
  • Thief: The Black Parade [a complete full fan made campaign for Thief 1 created by veteran game designers]
  • Separating StarCraft and StarCraft: Brood War into two entries
I know that this is a slippery slope, but I don't know, there are some meaty ones that might be worth displaying on a profile.

Seems fine to me. IGDB, which we're considering to use as a database source, does list them as separate entries as well - https://www.igdb.com/games/starcraft-brood-war

It might have to wait until we link up the manual database to IGDB though. I don't want to manually add a bunch of things they already have, since that complicates the migration somewhat.

Both games have a achievement lists that are shared between the Windows and Xbox Series versions.

I doubt that these are the only examples. Maybe you can look up updated data from TrueAchievements?

Is it normal that Subnautica 2 Early Access doesn’t appear when doing a manual scan on the tracking website?

I’m playing on Xbox, and when I manually scan/search for the game on the site, the Early Access version doesn’t show up at all. I’m not sure if the Xbox version just isn’t tracked yet or if something is wrong on my side.

Has anyone else had the same issue?

It’s showing up on your profile for me if I search for Subnautica.

The game doesn’t have any achievements yet though so might be filtered out by other profile settings.

You’re right, it does appear on my profile.

I just noticed the issue is that it doesn’t update my latest play session and it also doesn’t show my played hours, which is probably why it never appears in recent games. Maybe that’s because it’s still an Early Access title?

IMO, the new pictures for the Forza Horizon franchise are terrible and look way too cluttered. The old ones were 100 times better, there was no need to change them.

Achievements ranging from Fishing in China to Promised Land should be categorized under the expansion pack All Under Heaven.
The Royal Court Title Update and The Royal Court belong to the same expansion and should be merged.

Additionally, I’ve noticed many expansion packs in this game have overly lengthy names. For instance, Country Pack - Hearts of Iron IV: Battle for the Bosporus Achievements. Would it be better to simplify it to just Hearts of Iron IV: Battle for the Bosporus Achievements?

Would you be able to mark all of the Realms First achievements as unobtainable please in WOW Classic. For future markings do you you want me to list and/or link the achievements as well?
