looking out for yourself. cant hate you for that.
Heck yeah man, i mean shit, i LOOOVE WEEEED, but i don't want to see it manufactured and raped like tobacco has been for the past, oh i don't know, like since its inception?
Right now, to some, its still a mystery, not an exact science, it hasn't truly been tarnished. Mind you, pot smokers everywhere don't think its a mystery, I'm talking bout youngsters, tobacco to youngsters i like well known shit, what with all the stop smoking ads, i expect to see that in the oh so many years after weed gets legalized.
Because I do not smoke, it really doesn't affect me whether it gets legalized or not...
But I think it's a great opportunity for the government to set a high tax, which will contribute to health care in America. Either way, America is moving toward a universal system of health care... why not tax one of the main causes of health concerns if we're going to be paying the medical bills either way?
I'm quite sure that if you're willing to break the law by growing it while it's illegal, you won't mind evading any possession tax while it's legal... and I'm sure the punishment given for growing it without paying the taxes is much less than growing it when it's completely illegal (but I could be wrong). You do realize that if it becomes legalized,
everyone who wants to legally grow and sell pot will be paying the taxes... the result is prices will go up a bit. It's not as if you're the only one paying the tax, all pot farmers will and they will be forced to raise their prices, which will in effect do nothing but make the consumer pay more... you will still be making a reasonable profit.
Now if pot
did become legal, you wouldn't really have to change your ways... At this point you are growing it and selling it illegally... and you could continue this even after it becomes legal. Legalization simply gives you an option of legitimately making a living off of pot, at the cost of having to pay taxes. It's a win-win situation, you can continue selling pot illegally like you were, or you can start selling it under the government's terms and know that you're not committing a crime!
Dud, i never said i was selling, i just brought it up, i know a lot who grow and sell, i grow to experiment, like i buy seeds and have fancy grow light setups and whatnot only for shits and giggles, i honestly cant smoke for another year, seeing as I'm on probation, and I'm sure you are all thinking its because of pot, while I'm sad to say its for multiple grand theft autos and possession of cocaine. I never really had to pay for much of anything when it comes to pot unless you want to consider all the time and effort i put in rebuilding old setups in my garage, and electricity. I get my equipment from previous growers wives/husbands who have to get rid of the shit for a short time while their husbands/wives have to spend some jail time or probation time to clear their names for something. So i learned hydroponics and experimented with all the free goodies that were sitting in my garage for the longest time, alas now its my turn to have an empty garage. But my whole point being that it shouldn't be legalized either way is because its just going to become another product, another fad, something people will soon forget and want to stop doing, or done to such excess, that new problems never before considered to be possible start to sprout up.
Examples:
Like many jobs are going to have to change certain policies, and enforce a little more on current policies, i can imagine more mistakes being make on account of people trying to huge how fucked up they are after taking 34 consecutive gravity bong hits an hour before going to work as cashier at McDonald's. Average Wait times will increase 150 fold for some places, more people will be seen without jobs.
Yeah, Amsterdam has it legalized, but shit, they also have legal prostitution, does that mean we need that too? Sprout up a whole new line of work? I mean shit, seeing my current relationship situation, i would fucking love legal prostitution, i mean, a Ho-Mart would be lovely. But it will have repercussions, i don't see much happening on these terms in the states, not trying to sound like an ass or anything, that's just how i see it.
I see that so much, I'm trying to place systems in the states to keep me up to date tech wise while i move to the Dominican republic so i can smoke my head off, snort my head off, buy a whore house, and maintain my business's through the internet, until i generate some children and wither away, but i don't see that happening for about another 20-40 years. But that's my main goal.
In my minds eye, i see this country(USA) as too fucked up to handle something like that being legal, i mean, look at how were currently handling ourselves when it comes to alcohol? We have some serious accidents happen all the time and many other tragic things thanks to the legalization of alcohol, and i know for a fact we would have Civil War 2 if the government even thinks of doing another prohibition. So their slowly funding all this publicity bullshit to make it illegal, they want a productive country, their scared that the current productive countries are going to start PWNING us. Which all other countries, in my opinion, kinda decided just to use us and abuse us. What will all the lead paint in toys and defective electronics and stuff. This place has lost is SUPER POWER-ness and more or less become a giant mall. Which is lame. Because the coolest shit isn't even from here, just shipped here.
