oh its very possible with the proper resources, which hobbyists likely don't have access to... anything can be broken, just a matter of whether it's worth the effort (just ask kudelski, poor guy can't seem to keep his smart cards secure for more than a month or three ).

You have an ipl and an pre-ipl. Thats two different things.

I know it's the same in all PSP-1000 models, but PSP-1000 and PSP-2000 do not share the same pre-ipl and so on.
