Hey when I was in High School I was learning GW-Basic ... I'm 33 today. At best, they are probably teaching Visual Basic in high schools today and your skills will prove to be useless for what you are trying to do.

Learning is good and trying even if you know you will probably fail is important. Congrats on that !

When we change the plugins (on or off) with the cfwe, we can see the mms led writing to the files (vsh.txt, game.txt and pops.txt).
Has anyone noticed that it saves the txt files in a way that makes the plugins not working?
Lemme try to explain better: (I'll change the space ' ' with underscore '_' so we can see better)

This is what it looks like for a plugin to work properly: (I'll take Hud plugin for the example in vsh.txt)
ms0:/seplugins/hud.prx_1

But when we access the plugin section in the cfwe it saves with an extra space between the plugin path and the activation:
ms0:/seplugins/hud.prx__1

This makes the plugin not to work.. Can anyone fix this?

He did not mention the GripShift exploit. He said it would be better not to use the chickHEN R2 to execute the CFW. (Probably meaning that another kernel exploit has to be found.)

Or he may mean that he wants to launch the CFW right from Davee's kernel exploit. Thus, booting right into 5.02 HEN-A instead of loading into the chickHEN.

yeah i've encountred this too when trying enable pluglins for my ff8 eboot.

i got it working by just reediting the pops.txt by removing the extra space to this one ms0:/seplugins/popsloader.prx 1. and make the pops.txt read only so the cfwen can't write stuff's in it and mess it around.

Making the txt files read only is a good choice. I didn't think of that. :)

But it would be cool if we actually could control the plugins through the cfwe. ;)
 
It's unsupported on PSP 2000 and PSP 1000 so it is only testable on PSP 3000. But currently, noone wants to risk their PSP 3000 as there has been no cure for a brick on PSP 3000 yet. So we must wait for someone to test it out first. The link is on Dark Alex forum
 
On th D_A forums they posted a link to YOshi's first attempt at CFWe 3k. Remember, the non working one. These guys have misconcepted it as a new CFWe.

GUYS, its the old YOshihiro patch, the one that failed but D_A forums haven't really heard of it yet so don't bother. We proved t not working a while ago

Any fake releases will not be tolerated here. It creates unnecessary hype and breaks false hopes. If you're going to work on something then that's great, but you better know what you're doing if you're honestly going to release it for people to brick their PSP's with.

Once your program is created and is ready to rock, then create your own thread and release it there. This is not the place to be releasing your own programs.

ON topic: Has anyone found that fix for TA-88v3 owners when CFWe 2.10 says that they don't have a 2k. My private message box is filling up fast

I think it is the pops plugin that bugs the CFWE. As far as i've read,everyone who says cfwe doesn't detect the motherboard has enabled pops.Probably the next cfwe version will fix this.

Apparantly the fix is to use Davee's official R2 HEN instead of the unnoficial patched HEN
