Damn. Looks like I'll have to get into the PSP scene again.

I've never really got homebrew on my PSP, I have the Pandora's battery sitting somewhere. It's either I don't have that or the magic memory stick.

So if the HEN thing works and is real (person coming from the Wii scene, of course I think everything isn't real but it turns out to be real) then... yay? :P

-We don't know when any future releases will be , no one knows except the developers making the exploits.

-There is no PSP 3000 exploit currently but Matiaz and fellow PSP devs are probably working on that at the moment.

I have a question with this exploit, umm, my psp just turns off after i open the slim file on photos. what do i do? and sorry for the dumb question but what does this exploit do? really sorry, didn't have enough time to read the what's and why's of this. peace.
 
Hi everyone!
Im new in here and please forgive me my grammar mistakse (Im Estonian).
Good that exploits are giving you guys change to finally brake psp security and im forward to see kernel access exploit for my PSP 2000 (sold my PSP 3000 in hope to have hackable PSP, but i didnt do my reaserch well befor buying one :D ).
Right now im running on OFW 5.00 and it started couple of times, but it didnt went further than "Hello World etc" and now im downloading OFW 5.03 and i hope that things get better :)

And huge thanks to developers and best to them!

Your probably wanting to downgrade so this exploit will take you half way there(usermode access) . The part where the real magic happens is where a kernel mode exploit is used which gives us access to parts of the PSP Sony don't want us to have but this is much harder that obtaining usermode access so maybe we're not halfway but a 1/5 of the way there.

But Davee is reporting that he's found an exploit granting kernal mode acess , that would make two along with the one DaX has his hands on (unless they are identical) . Now that we have two kernal mode exploits kept some where in secret , I think it makes sense that one of them will be used to make a downgrader for the newer PSP models.

I have a feeling that the next few days / weeks will be very interesting for newer PSP owners waiting to jump into homebrew bliss . But at the same time don't get expect too much , there might very well be no real progress a month from now.

edit : My knowledge of the PSP architecture and exploits is relativley little so there may be some incorrect information in my post.
