Personally, I don't expect a PSP2 from Sony. While it's been moderately successful, hardware-wise, and made them a bit of profit, it has one of the lowest attach rates in the history of our industry. I honestly can't see them trying again.

What are you talking about? The processor speed on the Psp is 333mhz, while on the Ps2 it 300mhz. The Ps2 has slightly better specs (graphics wise), but the display on the Ps2 is 640x480, while the Psp's resolution is 480x272. They are pretty much equal. But in order to emulate something, it needs to be way faster than what it actually is. For example, the Psp has a DS Emulator, but its extremely slow, even though the Psp's processor is 5x faster.

Heck, a ps2 emulator for Pc's run slow, well the majority of them, unless you have an extremely good cpu, or gpu. But most of the time it has very low fps's.

thats what im saying. the PSp is not powerful enough to emulate the PS2. it would be if it was maybe twice as powerful though. but even then it would run slow. and i miss spoke. i didnt mean half of the PS2. i ment half of what is needed to emulate the PS2

i believe that it will support homebrew games. but as to emulators. i dont know. Davee said he wanted to put in protection against that but he hasnt said anything since.

Hmm. That makes no sense. Because the picture given shows a 3k running pokemon. Through an emulator. :/

I want to play games that I own on the go. Not pirate them.
 
Emulation will work as long as it doesn't use ISOs. And I'm pretty sure he didn't really put protection against it, he's just not adding it himself. So every emulator but PSX should work (so GBA, N64, SNES, etc will work).

....thats why i asked that pic to be removed from the FAQ. because dave posted very spacificly. that that pic was a fake. it was not from him. and it was not from his beta testers. so can an admin please remove that? because thats just going to cause confusion.

I don't understand why PSX won't work...
I mean it's a normal homebrew emu and he said he won't block them, whats the reason?

I am playing Crisis Core as well. Isn't it so good? Zack is so much more of a character then Cloud was... Just an opinion, don't let it sidetrack you from the actual discussion here.. :w00t:
