Tiff Exploit - HEN Information

Does not work for me either.

tried dumping tiff in photo root
tried using ChickHEN folder with eggs
tried using ChickHen folder with no eggs
tried the GAMES and ChickHEN folder way
tried changing my Character set
tried changing my theme

instead of going on about it if there a trick here on the forum I have tried it and nothing works.

I have PSP 3001 (numbers before are AT103440338)
OFW 5.03

try this add 6 more images to the hen folder then open it wait til the 3rd image loads and press X then wait 5 sec, press O and scroll down.

hope u can understand english its not my native language xD
 
WLAN isn't working? I can get into remote play just fine, but I have no wifi at my house, so I can't test web
 
Hi everyone, I've been trolling mfm since the tiff exploit.
While reading this I've learned a few things.
One of which I'm going to share.

I was unable to get the hen to work for most of this morning then I read a post by FrozenIPaq which helped me out.
I believe its something that lots of newbies like myself may encounter as a problem.
The instructions to install the hen say to put the h.bin into the root folder, and seeing as how there was a folder named mp_root I assumed that was what it meant and put it there.
Thats not what it meant though,
It means to put the H.bin in the very bottom folder which for me was E:/

With that all set up the hen works for me, every time, no tricks nothing. chickHEN folder in my pictures folder. I just open it up and sit there and it loads in and everythings go.
I have a custom theme with the origional background**

Daedalus is in BETA, its going to be slow.

Hey guys,

Just wanted to point out a method (I haven't seen mentioned here) to run the Hen.
I have a PSP -3000 and tried this method 2 times on account of trying R1 and then again today with R2.

First:MS = memorystick(duh) I followed all steps provided i.e. copied h.bin to root of MS and the 4 gifs and 1 tiff to \PSP\PHOTO

Second: I disconnect the USB cord and head to PHOTO section and open the MS - this repeatedly leads me to a crash

Third: After a crash or two I reboot and reconnect the USB. I then explore the MS. Basically just open it up to the root. Then I press "O" on the PSP ending USB mode and head to PHOTOs and Voila! ChickHen.

I have NOW tried this 4 times, starting from a clean MS, to ensure it was worth passing on this advice. I hope it helps some peeps.

P.S. running gpSP , Daedalus , WTH , Snes perfectly

Really? I didn't expect that, mostly just functionality stuff.
 
ok i haven't been able to successfully run the tiff exploit but after doing this procedure i've got it running so far it's 100%

1) update to 5.03
2) change Character set
3) I have a umd inside the psp
4) folder sturcture psp\photo\chickhen

upon selecting the chickhen folder i scroll up and down until it crashes.. that's it. this worked in R1 and R2
 
Don't worry.
Getting it to work the first time is the hardest part, as egghunt must be written, which can take a couple tries.
 
HEN worked for me on the first try (psp 3k), and has been consistently working 100% of time with these instructions:


1. back up your stick if needed
2. format stick through psp
3. reset to system defaults
4. place h.bin to stick in no folder
5. place ChickHEN folder from SLIM folder from ChickHENR2.rar to PSP/PHOTO
6. take UMD out
7. shut down PSP completly
8. start psp from cold boot
9. go to photo -> stick
10. open ChickHEN folder and wait, no scrolling, just wait
11. display flickers, psp reboots with hen
