Tiff Exploit - HEN Information

Ok, i too have been having trouble with the tiff exploit...i've tried changing the number of pics in the folder as you guys have said but perhaps i'm not putting the h.bin where it needs to go. I was under the impression that it went directly to the root folder....could it be that it has to be in one of the folders in the root or would that really make a difference?

As Adiuvo mentioned you have to upgrade. You can just download the 5.03 update eboot from another trusted source such as PSP Firmware 5.03 Download. If you want to try a previous version first you can find it on that site as well.

I want to strongly advise against 5.03!
Firmware 5.02 is a way better option since it also has the gripshift exploit.
DO NOT UPGRADE TO 5.03
 
why upgrade to 5.03 when it's working in 5.02? Worked in my t88v3 5.02 OFW.
still patiently waiting for the HEN. I hope the rumors in this thread that emulators are not supported are not true. where will the exploit be posted? will it be in a new thread? :blush:

Also works in 5.01 OFW. Not true (supposed to run essentially any homebrew that doesn't require ISO loading or M33 modules). Likely in a new thread, on Davee/Bubbletune's website, and all over the place.
 
Can someone please correct me?

I'm reading through the closed release thread for the tiff exploit and I'm seeing that you must restore system defaults...

is it fact or fiction?

Nobody except Davee and other Devs knows for sure...

If the HEN is not released to day or tommorow it gives it more time to make it stable.

Somehow I knew this was to good to be tru :sneaky2:.

Yes it works with the CR-5400 i actually have 32 GB myself.
For anyone having only reboots when trying the exploit i can only advise to keep trying. it took me a while to get it working. i believe it has to do with memory usage so it is very specific of what you do after restarting your psp. after i found my combination of keystrokes/speed of pressing them/folder structure/picture thumbnails/ etc.. then i could reproduce it 95% of the times. Maybe someone with more experience can correct me if i am wrong.

From the DAX forums, it looks like they have it working with phat so far, but it'll be a few days before the slim version will be finished.. Still no news about a release date. (I thought I'd mention that before anyone asks :) )

Yeah, if you think about it, they probably didn't know exactly what they were up against. Davee might even have the phat version released by the end of Tuesday, which is what he promised eh? It's only Tuesday 00:55 GMT after all..
