I have was found in the site of PSPgen:

We have contacted us yesterday and said that it was only a few hours late due to some bugs to be solved imperatively.

We have seen that some shouting at the "fake" but Dave is someone who seriously should not disappoint him.

Capture

If succeeds Davee to correct any last-minute bugs in time, it may be that the online intervention tonight and if it is not, it will probably make it work better.

In the meantime, patience is required and do not go to the unnecessarily negative ...

(via Google translated)HEN de davee : report ou annulation ?

thats not true. he implied it would be late and i beleave that he said it would be ready soon soon does not mean a few hours. to a programmer with many errors. soon could mean a day. two. some times upto a week. so all we can do is wait silently
but i do agree with you. we just need to wait.

I have created an account on here just to express a message which I think is going to be potentially important for all of you, apparently.

I must be correct that Davee is not going to add ISO support to his so-called HEN, yes? If so, I must be also correct that he will never change his mind about this particular decision? Then, I am ultimately willing to release the ISO support in a matter of time shortly after his release. The reason why I`m doing this is because I`m baffled with the fact that he has altered the way how PSP works (which is clearly against the TOS) and out of no where, he has completely contradicted himself by claiming that he`s against piracy! Note that the two things both clearly have the same principle.

I should have private messaged him about this, but I feel that the public should acknowledge the purpose of this message as well.

P.S I already know how you have accomplished this, Davee.

that's a completely different discussion in it's own and you should probably try to remain on topic. the mods are constantly cleaning out trash out of these boards don't make their life even more difficult.

edit: davee's against adding ISO support because of his view on piracy. Leave that alone. You want ISO support? Make the application yourself like you said, no need to publically go against Davee's views when he's making homebrew for you possible when it wasn't in the first place. He also doesn't need anymore spam from private messages I'm sure.

Well, hi all, i have also created an account just now :)

I'm part of these probably thousands of users patiently waiting and reading this forum.

This said, that last post from BOO938... is so insulting to someone who is hard working that i had to tell this : You maybe "already know" how he did, but you did not do it... That makes you a useless idiot. :)

Cheers,

well hi there. first off. welcome to the forums :D 2nd i assume your a psp dev(or you wouldn't be releasing a iso loader) however he is anti-piracy but pro-homebrew. i beleave i could help but i cant seem to find the libTIFF source any ware. now there are some people that want the iso loader just because it adds ease. for me. i have 6 year old little sisters and a 4 year old little brother...my UMD disks are always getting scratched. and also i find this extreamly useful for when i go out of town.i dont need many UMD disks. just my 8GB stick :)
but back to my point. hes not just cutting it out because he wants to. its because he is strongly anti-piracy. but is doing it for the homeberw (IE PSPtube and IRshell and such. (and if it was me. i would be doing it simply because i can haha))

He decided not to add ISO support. Maybe he will change his mind, maybe not. What's the big deal about that? Just accept what is given to you, and stop saying "That's not fair, I will release it!" So do it, but don't claim that Davee has made a bad choice or something.

guys get back on topic im sure this whole page will get deleted. :<

on topic: hen's had lots of progress the past few days even if you guys have not been able to read about or witness it yourselves. davee's working hard and everyone should stop demanding it and let him release it when he's ready :D

ok well enough of that. :) but to the topic. im trying to start up in the psp modding world. and since this is a topic on information about the HEN. i would like some info that hasnt realy seemed to be asked yet (that i saw) lol. i have been looking for a while. and im wondering. is the libTIFF exploits source (IE tools and such) released any ware? i would love to know how this works. ^.^ maybe i could write my own app for it lol.

oh my. i didnt search very well (sorry) haha. i have found it. it was posted on this very thred. (i just had to click about 5 links to get there) he is the main libTIFF site: http://www.remotesensing.org/libtiff/

and the vulnerability report: http://secunia.com/advisories/product/4053/

:) dont know if anyone else needed that but hey. if someone reading this was looking for it then thats cool :D

and@ scum784. thats a interesting question. i personaly do not know (dont own a ps3). but im sure someone here knows.

Well I haven't fooled around with remote play in quite a while but you never used to need access to PSN to use it. You merely had to pair the PSP with the PS3 you wished to use the feature with.

PS - To those still going on about ISO support in HEN. I know I may as well beat my head against a wall rather than repeat this again but a Homebrew ENabler is intended to allow you to run homebrew. Davee is not building an ISO loader or custom firmware; he's building a homebrew enabler.

well there is remote play via private network e.g. in the house with the ps3's wireless lan and remote play via internet. the via internet option .e.g. you are in a place with an access point and the ps3 in standby mode requires psn sign-in in both machines while the via private notwork does not.

any ideas??

I have back in the 4.0 days, it does require you to sign in with the same psn as your ps3,after pairing it with the ps3.

At first DAVEE responds here and there was now not hear from him I hope that for the better at least know if it a matter of liberation hour days or weeks?

my point exactly. :)

The current tiff exploit is a buffer overflow in the libtiff library (There are many and various TIFF exploits for many pieces of hardware, including the PC and MAC), this exploit relies on the way libtiff handles alpha channels.

If you want to get into this, i suggest you go read up on libtiff (You can obtain source code for it for various platforms) and previous exploits for whatever operating system, the TIFF hello world for the PSP is available for download, open it up in a Hex Editor and have a look through it (Try searching for scePaf_Module, or h.bin). Basically libtiff is shot full of holes.. so many it feels like they where put there deliberately.

You can repeat that as many times as you like, it won't matter. Most CFW users are used to CFW and most of those are used to being pirates, even if they don't think they are (those individuals, and there are many... need to take a big swig of some shotgun-mouthwash)

Not sure but I think you're asking how long it's going to be. If you took the time to read the thread you would realize that:

a) We're asking people to not ask such questions and to be patient.

b) the only tentative date of "around Tuesday" that was given was unfortunately didn't come to pass because of issues being worked on and, as a result, people are now thinking it's a hoax.

If I were Davee I'd spend all my time actually working on things rather than babysitting the masses (I guess that's why people like me are here ;) ).
