...and as far as I know he isn't restricting it at all; just not including it. He posted saying he just spoke out of frustration, and is apparently not actually going to obstruct a possible ISO loader...Davee never said HEN was ready and he is not hypocritical at all with restricting ISO access...
You will have to run the HEN everytime you boot up your PSP.When it is in sleep mode HEN still remains on,but when you shutdown your PSP or it automatically shuts down you have to reboot the HEN.
wait what is the difference between the sleeping and shutting down, like suppose i just press the power switch like normal to turn off my psp, is that considered shutting down or sleeping...thank you alien
Ok so this is my first post so HI. Second, I have been part of the psp homebrew scene since 3 months after the psp ever hit shelves in the US, back when emulators were just barely able to crank out a snes/genesis game without serious frame skipping and audio issues. That being said I have seen this scene go through its ups and downs but in all it has been a rather enjoyable ride. The reason I am writing this though is in response to not condoning piracy by not allowing psx or iso/cso/etc support. One admin stated that since the developers scene is really tight knit, that it is unlikely anyone will be producing something to the effect or eventually allowing this. While I am fine with both of those things, I would have to agree with the poster who stated its hypocritical (though not for the reasons he/she stated). Being able to use a Snes/genesis/nes/etc emulator and roms is no different from pirating a game...in fact its the same exact thing (this includes backing up your own games into roms as both sega and nintendo have stated more than once that it is illegal to do so with there games). Also hacking a system, no matter how good your intentions, is illegal as well, Sony has stated this in more articles than I can remember (and its in the legal section of the psp owners manual). I am not asking for an iso/cso/psx loader with this HEN, in fact I am not asking for anything as I have my psp phat and other than the fact that it started acting kinda weird lately, I am very happy with it (I wouldn't give up the IR port if they paid me). Simply put, I find it odd and a touch hypocritical to be creating such a thing if you do indeed have such a strong opinion towards using either back-ups or illegal copies of games, if it was me I would be going through a huge moral dilema. I can understand if my post gets deleted or I get flamed for this, just my two cents, and either way I do give massive props to Davee and all the work I can only imagine it takes to be creating something like this. Hats off to you my friend
add: in case anyone is wondering why if I have a phat, do I care about this...well I was rumaging through some articles and finally saw a good comparison of screens and thought maybe I might finally upgrade.
I don't allow the perfect execution of emulators either. Much like ISO loaders they depend on the way the they were developed. Usually, ISO loaders aren't make past 1.50 kernel and users depend on custom firmware developments.
