Davee has shown us that HEN can be acheived and members here have tested it (AFAWK) so everyone here has more proof than you...

Speaking of the HEN, has anyone clarified the emulator thing yet? I read a few pages back they wouldn't be totally compatible.

he clearly knows more than u do, it was estimated for tuesday cuz davee knew hed be away later in the week, and Davee was supposed ot arrive back on saturday not release it on saturday.

Guys, emulators will work perfectly fine. There are NO restrictions on emulators. In fact, there are NO restrictions on anything. ISO's however will not be supported with the release of HEN. The ability to run ISO's is not a hand in hand thing with HEN. It would require extra work that Davee understandably does not wish to do.

EDIT: I have talked to Davee, and this is CONFIRMED. He has put no restrictions in place. The only restriction is no 1.50 kernel, which is completely understandable.

yea, but davee mentions a few pages back that he hasnt fully supported emu either or something like that, i think he was saying he hasnt made the HEN specifically to be able to work emus properly,

oh i get it... kernel 1.50 homebrew incompability...
thats most likely it. its just a major pain for the 3k. currect me if im wrong but i beleave with the pre-ipl it makes it awesomly hard to change the system. if it could. there would be a m33 installer. ASAP :w00t: but it isnt, and theres not :cry: but eather way. i just want it for things like IRShell. and PSPtube..and powder toy
but back to the point. no its not easy. at all.Ya know what? I'm starting to get a clearer picture of this. Davee's HEN simply stops the PSP from saying "No, this code ain't signed". Now, what happens after that is totally up in the air. If you're lucky, your homebrew app of interest will run - but it'll be pure luck, cuz alot of homebrew is really meant to be on CFW. This Davee-HEN business sounds like it's still really Sony's OFW, just with a few bits tweeked to make the signed-code check always pass.
Thinking about it that way, I would gamble the old NesterJ Nintendo 8bit emulator would still work because it worked on Sony's OFW 1.50(for those that remember having to make a folders ending with "%").
This is what I think Davee means and if you look at it this way, then it's pretty clear what homebrew will and will not work. In general, I'd gamble that most homebrew that ran via an exploit in Sony's OFW(rather than any CFW) will probably work with DaveeHEN.

HEN means homebrew enabler, so yes, homebrew will be enabled when you run this on your PSP. The limitations on the homebrew will be in the kernel, most homebrew apps use kernel, like IRshell, most emulators like Snes which uses alot of memory for it to run, and other apps that need alot of memory, or wifi, like 3d shooters.
Its not luck and chance for the PSP to run the homebrew with this, weve seen many HEN in the past before. Its mainly the very simple homebrew games that can run, like solitare, and Homers RIN (Gameboy). I dont know if kernel will be accessible with this, if it is, we could get things like CFW, and more hacks.
