I hope we don't get iso support in this HEN.
Once the pre-IPL is hacked, you'll get a nice happy Custom Firmware.
Let's leave Davee's HEN alone.

out of curiosity- did davee block ways to develop iso loader or he jus dint put one into the hen??
 
He said that he blocked all homebrew that would import M33 features. I think this means blocking development too, but IDK. Anyway, this HEN will definitively lead to hacking the pre-IPL, so we needn't worry about it. DAX and others will most likely be all over this soon (hope hope hope).
 
Those consoles aren't upheld in copyright too much if at all anymore, so I believe that justifies it.

Pirating PSP games hurts the PSP...potentially. Nobody gives a flying &*%^ about 10 year old games that haven't been on the shelf in years. What is criminal are the people selling certain of those games at exorbitant prices.

nope he didn't block it in any way. hen is a separate program from iso loader i think and yes he just didnt add one with the hen. let's all wait for the real deal. didn't bother with the HEN R1, i will wait for the working version (HEN that can enable homebrews).
 
To be quite honest, I'm not a fan of Davee's hypocrisy.

He's against pirating PSP games, but has no qualms about modifying a product to allow pirating on other platforms. All of which are still illegal.

That being said, I'm still glad he released the HEN.

psp was very badly hit by the piracy to an extent rumours were around -no more psp games, coz the programmers were nt interested to make games which wnt sell any more..p

hmm ya illegal it is..but homebrew is fun..

using roms of games that you don't owned is technically piracy. Maybe he implemented emulators for SNES/NES/Genesis for people who can't buy original first hand cartridges of SNES/NES/Genesis? Are they still selling these cartridges?

tht doesnt make sense it is still piracy if they are selling those.
edit: cant find new selling ones anywhere ,guess no piracy here
