It almost appears like pirating ROMS is ok but pirating ISO is not ok? In my opinion we should be free to make an ISO Loader if we want.I dont like piracy(not to say I have not done it a few times :( )either but if someone wants to code an ISO loader for this HEN then I say go for it.

All the pll are saying roms is ok but iso is not
it is the same as saying steal is just fine but DO NOT kill because its wrong.
 
Yeah the Dark Alex part made me want to see if this was mentioned anywhere else because it sounds like significant news, but still fishy.

I just think it is kind of hypocritical to say I dont support piracy yet allow roms to be downloaded.

But I guess it is only because you cant really get nintendo,GBA,N64 games anywhere easily.
 
pirating a psp game could hurt the developer financially, because psp scene is still going on on today, unlike the times of gba and snes, their times are due and i dont hink developers are going to be hurt because not many people (maybe none) who still buys a gba or even snes console to play it..

n dat maybe what Davee meant actually..

the best games u can buy online for ur WII and now for the DSi(DSi i dont know if its posssible yet outside japan) and they still make games for GBA (stupid and lame only for 3y old) but they do.

Anyway Piracy is piracy, and this HEn DO suport piracy, Just like HEN-A just said u r just beening hypocrit.
 
where can i get the gba rom emu? sorry its kinda offtopic, and if anyone knows of a psptube version that works on the new HEN please let me know too...pm or anything +rep to anyone who helps!

But u r sayng that is ok to stell a illegal rom just because its old?
like my late gramma always said " its ok to steal things from who dont need it" for me it still stealing.

and what really hurt the psp scene is SONY itself,
look for the NDS. do you want more piracy than we have now on the nds? and it still the best handheld(selling and game titles point of view)

I just want to be able to play PS1 games. I'm completely not interested in pirating psp games. Just want to be able to play my PS1 games on the go! Too bad they seem to go hand in hand. I'm sure someone is working on it though.

Believe me somebody is already making ISO/CSO support as well as PSX support with Davees HEN.I dont know who is but I guarantee you it is happening.

off=topic most of the devs are from a long time on the psp scene so they all have all they need on their phat psps,
and they dont want us to have a iso-loader so we will have to buy lots and lots of games , then the psp will got cool new games because the 3k users, and then the 1k user that didnt want us to download iso, will download every thing, and keep saying what they say now.

on-topic.. i am no dev, but it should not be to hard to make a iso loader that does not use a plug-in, is it?

So pirating anything by SONY goes HAND in HAND but pirating anything by Nintendo is ok??

I dont understand Davees logic but it was his descion so I will just appreciate the fact he even released the HEN in the first place.

But on the flip side I will be waiting for ISO/CSO support in the future and I am confident it will come.
 
Hey all,

I updated my PSP 3K from 4.20 to 5.03 (as suggested on a post)

I upploaded the h.bin to the 'root' area of the memmory card (where 2 files were, 1 named MEMSTICK.IND and other named MSTK_PRO.IND), and then uploaded the ChickenHEN folder to \PSP\PHOTO\

I also restored default settings, go to Pictures => Memory Stick => ChickenHEN, it load 3 egg pictures then freezes and shutdown ..., dont reboot, i think idea was it to reboot alone and trigger the HEN but mine simply shutdown ... so any ideas?

of course its illegal to steal, but its the mindset of the people dat is being a hypocrite itself, "hey, downloading snes rom is ok, it is not like anyone cares or gonna sue me" like u said, "just because its old"...evry1 has their own agenda, Davee stated dat he does not want iso loader, just homebrews, but did he developed those emulators? in is site he stated homebrews, did not said emulators and so on..u guys shud be happy just Davee did release a chickHEN..if im him, i probably stop the dev on HEN..
 
Would installing ultimate VSH menu brick the PSP 3k??

I told them this would happen.
This stuff was originally posted on the MForMature IRC Chat dude. And, as expected, it's running all over the world, and transforms a simple post on IRC into a huge Fake rumor.

Here's what happened:
Fazermin posted on the MForMature chat something regarding hardware decryption of the preIPL. This got misinterpreted by some Chinese sites.
Fazermin was supposed to contact Davee with his files and never did AFAIK.
End of story, you can stop holding your breath now. Or you can ask Mathieulh who could maybe confirm since he was on the chat as well when this happened.
As far as I'm concerned this is one more fake until proved otherwise.

Also, NEVER trust what the Chinese sites say, for the following reasons:
1) Nowadays they take most of their information from english speaking sites
2) They interpret it half correctly
3) They translate it into Chinese
4) They "improve" the story to get more readers (all news sites do this)
5) You translate it back into English with google
The result is that you get a completely wrong information, lots of steam, while you could just browse the logs of the chat here...

It's nothing against Chinese websites especially, it's just the way it is with news sites and globalization.

Edit: you're confusing Chinese and Japanese, they might not like that :p

I dont know if you did not learn to read or something but first of all im sure Blue girl is pointing out that pirating ROMS is just as bad as Pirating ISOS.
