Tiff Exploit - HEN Information

Ellis.Perkins, I'm not sure I entirely get your point.
As you said, people who desperately want ISOS have two ways:
1) Buying a pandora compatible PSP (they are easy to find),
or
2) Code an ISO Loader by themselves (hard work, but nothing compared to what has been accomplished by the hackers recently).

So it's not like there was no solution.

I am not part of Team Typhoon but I support their choice of not including an ISO Loader. I believe that most devs do, but all you guys need is one developer who does not agree with that choice. I'm not blind, ISO loading will eventually happen on the new models, but I hope this will be in a far future.

I agree that the devs' role is not to decide who should or should not play isos, but only by showing strong disagreement with piracy can we (devs) claim that what we do should be accepted by Sony.

You cant use pandora for psp 3k or with the new motherboard, so just one option, and if i could do it belive me i would xD, well anyway i hope that one will come out soon

I meant sell your psp3k and buy a hackable one

Well if you could find me one in amazon or any online shop (i dont live in the US, in my country sell last ones but more expensive than in the US) i would gladly (not used btw) those are obsolete already

Yeah, I know what you mean, the hackable ones are actually expensive here too.

Regarding coding an ISO loader, it is of course difficult, and definitely not the first thing people should try to code. But coding is like cooking. When you're a beginner you have to follow a few recipes, but after a while you create your own stuff. And most of the time it's fun.
I'm not saying you can code an ISO Loader without lots of knowledge in programming and PSP internals, but if you start with "if I could I would", it means that, obviously, you've already given up before you even try. :p

haha xD, well i havent given up, since next year ill start learning programming in college, so im kinda waiting for those days to start going into the world of programing xD, but i dont wanna be for a year without being playing my precious wild arms 2 D:

What I find rather funny is that:
Davee does not allow the use of ISO and CSO.
As in his look this is piracy.

However isnt running emulators using games you do not own also piracy?

I would say: Yes it is.
There for his statement is kind of weak :)

Greetz, Evil.

actually if my memory serves me right he was asking for permission from m33 to give him access to their cfw's so that he include it in his HEN...

xs: people please do correct me on this, my memory fails me most of the time :scared:

Lol, I didn't mean that. But your name was in the original .tiff exploit file, the one that said at the end "Hi Sony" and didn't do anything else, I just assumed.

Making an ISO loader wouldn't be too hard, I think.
Just take the existing ways of emulating the UMD and tweak/port them over to HEN.

But everyone I spoke to recently, and in theory would be able to do it, can't be bothered to actually do it because everyone agreed in the decision to leave ISO loading outside (myself included).

Davee was asking for the M-33 Modules for Iso support, but since everyone started complaining and he couldn't contact Dark Alex, he decided to leave them out. So, I mean no one is stopping you if you wanted to? l:p

Hey, I was wondering. Since you did say you were a developer. I am wondering how old are you? I myself am 15 years old, and I am looking into a career in programming. I have begun learning the very basics of C++ and Java. What would you recommend learning?

And next year I am taking AP Computer Science as a Sophomore, are there any classes/ books you would recommend? Thanks for any help. I am not expecting you to answer me, but if you could, that would be great!

Yeah, but I don't want to :p

As for you other question, I am a bit more as twice your age ;)
C/C++ is definitely the right way to go!
I don't know any books tho, most stuff I gathered from asking people or searching the net....

who would that be?? sorry, i don't really know a lot of devs.

lol I don't really know anyone, I was just saying there is always that ONE guy who will do whatever he or she wants regardless of how others feel.

Yeah, not anymore.... Back in the times of FastLoader (who remembers that one? ;)) there've been way more devs around that did stuff.

But they all vanished into a puff of smoke.... 0okm, anyone? MPH? And all the countless others....

Thanks for the reply. I just wanted to get an expert's advice.

Hey guys!
try to get custom firmware on your PSP-3K.
I THINK it might work.
The Ultimate VSH Menu worked.
I am not responsible for bricking.

oh, i thought it was referring to somebody.

just put the homebrew apps in GAME folder.

Nope, it will not work, for "real" CFW (booting as CFW) you need to flash a modified/patched (custom)IPL, which is exactly the thing not possible (yet) and denying CFW on those PSPs.

Don't try if you like your PSP.
