I foresee a youtube video claiming that Homebrews run on 5.50...could it say just 5.50

Well I sent him the edited H.Bin I made saying 5.50.
I've been using V2 from Davee's dev site, I never tried the V1 or unofficial hex edited version.![]()
I'm at wits end trying to get HEN working, with no forward progress.
I own a Japanese psp2000 red slim psp with 5.03 ofw with the tiff in f:/psp/photos/chickhen and h.bin in f:/
I have tried the following, all with similar results (lock with mem light solid or lock with mem light off both shutting down the psp)
Sometimes the tiff thumbnail will load with a out of mem error if i try to open the image.
Ive tried to get ithis working at least 200 times over the last few days with no luck.
-Different battery (fat vs slim)/no battery
-Genuine sony stick that came with the unit (32mb)/Sandisk 8gb stick (MG supported)
-Loading demos/games before running hen
-adding more/deleting images
-slideshowing all images then standby mode and then booting up
-slowly/quickly scrolling, flicking in and out of directory
-formatting mem stick/defaulting settings
-clearing cache via internet browser
-changing every system setting
-turning the wlan on/off, plugging in usb
I have tried all the tips in this forum and dark alex's site, I'm pretty much out of ideas.
Does anyone know if the JP 2000 model will work, the only reason I can think of is the memory addresses may be different as my model has the 1seg icon and a few more options in network ccompared to us/uk psp's.
I finally got HEN working
This is what I did for my Japanese psp2000 model.
1. Format memory stick (mine is Sandisk 8gb MG supported (aka not fake))
2. Restore default settings.
3. Hard reboot
4. change all settings to match 2002 model as per this link:
PSP-1002/PSP-2002/PSP-3002 series
5. extract files from rar directly to memory stick. h.bin to f:/, all files in chickhen to f:/psp/photo (make the directory in caps)
6. hard reboot
7. open chickhen directory in photos and wait.
I had to retry about 6 times and it finally worked.
(Battery was fully charged, usb disconnected, wlan off. All settings as default as per PSP2002 model as per above web site)
I have run PSPident, My psp is a Slim (02g) TA-085 board.
