Adding version spoofer is sweet but there's one problem, ChickHEN crashes on some (maybe all? but I'm not sure..) UMD games. I hope Davee can fix this on the R3.
 
PSPSDK compatibility

Hello all

I was wondering... Would you be able to make files in PSPSDK and be able to compile it for testing on a ChickHENed PSP?

I would like to know. I have been keen on programming on the PSP since the release of ChickHEN R2.

Yes, you can write and compile your programs with the PSPSDK and then run them on HEN as you would on CFW.

For homebrew software there is (almost) NO difference if running on HEN or CFW.
 
would it be ok if you place the HEN in one MS.. and your files in the other

once you get hen running you hot swap mem.sticks. would that be ok or you need your HEN and your homebrews together

You mean flash based themes? Not the official .PTF ones?
Well, if the theme was made for the FW on your PSP (for ChickHEN that'll be 5.03) then yes, in theory you can.

On a practical basis I'd strongly advise against doing it - unless you have a working Pandora ready if something gets broken.

is there any possible that you can activate the future relese of Hen by running a single program that will automatically enable the hen environment instead of going to photo folder and scrolling down the pictures with luck:laugh: Im proud to post here as one of the longest running forums I ever known in the PSP scene.

1s again... henr3 is not yet release... might not be released {small chance} no time expected to be released.. dont ask when the release will be... and read before asking.. so you would not waste time registering in the forums
 
plzzZZz could anybodyy tell me if i can run ((GAMEBOOT FLASHER)) on my 3000k or not i'm tooo afraid to brick my psp bec. of it's name FLASHER

It is somewhat safe, but the flashing could sometime randomly fail and you can never ever load stuff from /PSP/GAME ever again.

So all you will get from a gameboot failure is a semi-brick (unable to load EBOOTs b/c the PSP cannot play the gameboot.)

The PSP will still boot up like normal though.

If the gameboot flash is succesful, then no worries. :)

It is advised not to take your chances with things like flashing in general.

Well, it's like about 78% chance (most rational guess) that it will work.

There is a small chance something might fail.

But the gameboot will never a cause a full brick (full brick is PSP fails to boot).

The worse the gameboot could do is cause the semibrick that freezes the XMB when loading PSN games, homebrew from XMB when gameboot plays.

HEN will work, homebrew won't. :P

I suspect someone will circumvent this via having cxmb set the registry path or whatever it is to some .ptf while when cxmb is enabled load from .ctf.

Correct me if I'm wrong
