Yeah, but it's unlikely the update (of the codelist, that happens on the PSP) is altering the app.
They are likely only loading the list and using the loaded one instead of the buildin one or they patch/update a PSAR in the EBOOT (PSARs don't only hold FWs ;)) or w/e that isn't Sony encrypted anyway.

I can pretty much guaranty that they will just release a new executable that is sony/datel encrypted with the codelist hardcoded, just like the current version.

Wrong, I have already been told by tech support it will be put in the PSP/COMMON folder once they release an update (which is soon as they needed to add new Download version codes).

I'm finalizing codes for the non-UMD version of GranTurismo this morning and they should be available in the next update along with several other downloadable PSP titles. While not available currently, the update will be available on PSPAR.com when it's finalized. Downloading the update to the PSP>COMMON folder and launching the PSP Action Replay will install the update. (The old code list ".bin" file is not compatible with the new PSP Action Replay.)

Soo whats the current status?
have teh eboot been cracked?

we are about as close as we were since before datel came out with this.

its just like trying to "Crack" sony's eboots. nothing like that is going to come of this until KIRK is cracked (probably by hardware means)..

Yep. Ironically, I think Sony were blocking CFW users out of the PSN because of such risks. The side effect (which personally impacts me the most) being that CFW owners can't easily go on the PSN store to buy digital games and minis. (which IMO brings a huge lack of money for Sony).

Now, not only are they not getting money from CFW owners (who can't buy their product because they are locked out of the store), they will get cheaters.

So they lose the money AND they didn't even manage to secure online game. So that's a lose-lose situation for them.

They might as well open the PSN to CFW owners now, at least they'll have more people buying online.

Can something be done with Media Go Like the Itouch/Iphone with Itunes?

Erm, what do you mean? If you mean an app store, rumors are that Sony is working on one. If you mean music or something, then yeah, you can use media go for that, and if you mean an exploit, not a chance.

Hello. The other day, I just though Datel found an exploit in a PNG image in the principal eboot (in the update folder) but, I'm not a coder. So it's another old hope...

no what i meat was to hack it maybe be able reach the flash
because with Itunes is how you jailbreak/unlock the itouch/iphone

you can already access the flash on official firmware, if you have a pandora battery, elf menu, and a psp that can boot from a mms. that's the only way afaik.

oh and you'll need sceNAND_Updater_Driver.prx, sceLflashFatfmtUpdater.prx, and sceLFatFs_Updater_Driver.prx from the firmware that the psp is on for access. it's doable with firmware 6.20 too.
