Just go into settings and then gameplay, and then you can change hardcore mode or difficulty on the fly.

I can't get past the mission where you have to get the bomber plane out of the lake, because I can't find a route that doesn't involve those god damn motherfucking deathclaws >_< Hate those things!

How do you know what difficulty you are on? I don't remember getting an option to select Normal or Hard? I think I'm on Hardcore Mode with Hard because the most basic enemies are taking loads of rounds to take down. It takes like 20 regular rounds with the 9mm to take out a radscorpion and when wandering around outside Primm, four generic ghouls sprinted up to me and proceeded to demolish me in like 4 seconds.

God I love Fallout.

If you didn't change nothing you should be on Normal.
I'm on Normal and Hardcore and enemies are tougher. The enemies in this game in the beginning are definitely harder then the ones in Fallout 3, me and some friends were noticing it.

I actually welcome the challenge, makes me enjoy the game more for some reason even though I am dying more then I did in Fallout 3.

So I open the pack of cards today and these cards are build for cheaters With little time you can easy see what kind of cards your friends has they all have different backs. Also 2 of the aces hav 21 written on the back, while they look bad ass Im a little disappointed I cant use these cards for a real game. Also what the hell am I to do with the 5 poker chips they gave me.

Pause the game, and look at the options. You can both change the difficulty, and turn off/on hardcore mode.

Although, that sounds like a bug to be honest... Hard to believe, I know.

Got a plasma rifle and a couple mods for it and I'm just ripping through Ghouls right which before they were ripping through me.

well, i restarted my game, having played already, it allowed me to make a few different choices in how spread my SPECIAL points, knowing that some of the good perks requires a certain special level(generally something 6, plus w/e skill associated), i've opened up a few of the nicer perks which i wouldn't have been able to get with my glitched character since i put all my points into intelligence with that one.

still can't wait to get to the casino's

if you talk to rinco in the beginning, he gives you a spare deck, so you can get playing right away, it really is a fun game imo, i'm ganna make a clone of it in flash later

Yeah I don't understand how to build a good deck. I understand how to play it, but not too sure on how to make an effective deck. I've won 1 game out of the 5 I've played in -.-

i've been trying to find out as much info on this bug, it seems that people are beginning to encounter it about 10-15 hours in, several people have pointed to the fly me away mission being a cause(including me, however others report no issue with the mission), it seems to be their might be things that when picked up/activated cause the save issues that occured

I finished Come Fly With Me, but my saves are all sweet.

May be a good idea to start backing up...

did you have boone as a partner?, also, i shouldn't have to do multiple backup's, a game should never force a person to save often because at any moment that game could break their saves, i can understand that doing multiple save's to avoid in-game bugs, but a bug that breaks a save....should have been removed in beta testing

ah, well, that's one of the factor's people are thinking might cause the bug, either way i just played it again, with the update, and didn't hit the bug, so i'm a happy camper now, couldn't recover my old guy, but my new guy is alot better.

Same here. I picked up an Incinerator off some bandit while roaming around and it is by far my strongest weapon at the moment. You get continual damage while they burn.

I checked what the game started me at and it was Hardcore & Hard.

I've been using the 9mm pistol and the cowboy repeater the whole game and I can still kill people in 3-4 headshots with the handgun and 2-3 with the repeater. Get your gun skill higher? Unless you are on hard like Abe, then you should just expect that shit. I one shot most unarmored things with a sneakattackheadshot.

combat's been seeming fine for me, on normal for me though, also, anyone else come across a deathclaw, they seem ALOT stronger than in FO3, anyone else feel this way?
