Game Icon Submissions

The dimensions / size are fine on that one but in my opinion quality isn't quite as good compared to the current icon we have:

I'm not really sure why this icon needs replacing to begin with. May be subjective, but I think the current icon is significantly more readable, especially when it's reduced to smaller size such as when browsing your profile page.

Usually if a icon we already have is good enough quality I don't approve replacements for those. It's better to focus on ones that have obvious quality issues (like poor cropping of assets or cut off text).

If the current icon we had was of poor quality, then yes I'd approve that image though. That is better than some of the earlier uploads. So you are on the right track.
I don’t want to get involved in the whole situation, but I just wanted to say that I agree with what you said. I already had two people complain about the icons I make because I “zoom too much into the cover character” or “make the game logo too big,” but that’s exactly the point. Icons are such low resolution that when editing them, you have to make the character and the game logo stand out more.

I didn’t even waste my time arguing about it, especially because I’m 31 years old and honestly have better things to do hahaha

Your artwork is great; sometimes I even get inspired by it to create some for the site. The important thing is being able to contribute to the site with incredible images. Several games already have great artwork, However, many Xbox 360, PS3, and retro games sometimes lack artwork, which is why I, at least, focus on this area to create game art

Thank you so much for the kind words! I really appreciate it. Your artwork and icons are amazing too. :)

I also agree with what you said about older and retro games. A lot of Xbox 360, PS3, and retro titles still don’t have enough good artwork, so it’s really cool seeing people like you helping fill that gap with high-quality images for the site.

Minecraft PS3 Edition and Minecraft PlayStation Vita Edition faithfully recreated without the obtrusive and unnecessary trophy logos plastered over them:

I also think the following entries should be replaced with the superior, cleaner Xbox version (without the trophy icons):
Minecraft PS5 has also a square cover tile visibly cropped in half, I suggest replacing that as well with the Xbox version or alternatively use the Deluxe Edition artwork if we need more variation:
