General Feedback

My pm box keeps flashing saying "Social Groups Join Requests 1"

But there no requests to join the group or anything what should I do?

Yea the only one it tell me to look at is the The Cotton Candy Club.

I fixed it.. I had to go to the main index of the social group.Find the group in the little stats box and click on the Pending Members.

Looking at how dead QJ is, and the remaining skeleton staff not letting me have a job STILL (haha). I truly thank you for this forum.

It has to be said.

Thanks for the kind words :D.

It is comments like yours that drive us to continue and improve. And we're doing exactly that. Not a day goes by when we aren't trying to develop new concepts, come up with new ideas and work on a project to further improve M for Mature and what we have to offer.

Suffice to say, there is more to come. :)

Is there a way to get the frontpage comment section to link the forums instead of the front page? (Like how Tehskeen does it)

The way it is now it seems like a ghost town with the frontpage being completely comment less (which makes it look empty by new comers)

Or is that not possible since the feed is shared with eXophase

From one of EvilSeph past post.

Originally we were going to integrate our forums with our front-page but, unfortunately, due to technical limitations we can't do that anymore. Still, I personally feel that the system we have come up with is better since it allows guests to participate in commenting too.

Now, if the mention of guest commenting made you sigh out loud, I have some good news for you: with our new system, we've made it easier to notice what comment was made by what kind of person (Admin, Staff, Contributor, Donator, MfM member or a guest). This comment marking system enables anyone to tell, at a glance, who made the comment which allows us to easily prevent the impersonation problem that plagues some of the other sites out there that offer open-commenting.

Thanks for quoting my other post Seth :)

A little update on this: based on the amount of people that want this to happen, I can see that quite a lot of people think we should go this route so I'll look into what we can do to make this happen (but give no promises). That being said, it will, however, take a lot of time and effort on our part to come up with a suitable solution that keeps the ability for guests to make comments without registering open.

Any pre-made plugins or modifications that offer this functionality has broken something either on our frontpage back end or the forums, so it seems like the only option for us would be to code our own. As this is the case, I am, personally, still undecided on whether or not it would be worthwhile for us to do this.

We shall see. Thanks for your feedback, it is much appreciated :)

The messenger icons when someone adds their IM address have white backgrounds on them in mfmlight. It's not that noticable, but minor details like that can be obvious when they're right below someone's avatar. Look at Seth's post for an example.

Hmm I hadn't noticed that (not surprising as I'm a dark user). I'll look into updating them; thanks for bringing it up.

Refresh the page and you should see they have been updated Adiuvo.

Have you guys thought of better advertisement, it would be great to get some more people here.

Unless kids click and come.

I saw this at The PlayStation Network and thought it might be cool to add the TAG CLOUD type thing you see at the bottom of the page. Dont know how easy it might be to add to the homepage but it sure would be cool.

Vanden & EvilSeph: thanks

There is also a problem with the automatic URL namer for Wikipedia links. It will always comes up as Wikimedia Error, instead of its actual title

This is incredibly easy to do, but I don't see the merit in adding it. In my opinion, that tag cloud is...pointlessly complicated. I mean, do you understand how it works? What happens to the most prominent and used tag? I think people could get lost quite easily with it. That's just my opinion, though, feel free to let us know what yours is. :)

For example? For future reference, please try and supply proof of the issue (like a screenshot or some way to reproduce the issue) so that I know exactly what you're referring to.
