@menaceinc - hows the apple keyboard treating you for windows gaming? lol

thanks XD
ive been trying to revive my psp this week and so far the only thing that still needs work to be done is ont control pads, so hopefully thatll get sorted out by saturday ;)

I've been doing that to mine, ordered a new Analog, pitty is, its a bit stiff, if I move it, it gets stuck :X don't know what I did wrong, it works though <.<

It's fine.
In fact, I'd go as far to say that it is my favourite keyboard of all time. Ever.
the only difference for gaming is that both alt keys are switched with the "Windows" key.
That's fine by me though since I can then easily hit the right "Windows" key to bring up the start menu and start typing in a programs name to quickly launch it.

Take note though that the "Windows" key on Apple keyboards is the command key.

The best part is that I got it for free :D

Finally a desktop that can actually sit proudly on the top of my desk :)

Now all of this must come down in under a month so I can move to my new dorm, where I will post my new setup (same gear but a better arrangement)

Can't be too proud of that mouse...

Only 800DPI. You'll have to use extrapolating sensitivity settings to get a usable speed.

You do realise that PCs are not soley for gaming right?

Because a lot of your posts say otherwise.

I do all kinds of stuff on my PC. Its a waste of good hardware when people try to put together a "perfect" system having ridiculously high end components and then have a cheap part that bottlenecks the whole system.

The mouse is excellent for everything I use it for. I haven't played any shooters that require a high sensitivity lately (I did fine in TF2 with this mouse). I just hate being tethered to the computer with most gaming mice (Microsoft has a new wireless one that promises a lot for gamers, but "wireless" and gaming never seem to go together).

The MX Revoltuion is by far my favorite mouse I have ever used. You may not like it, but I'm a huge fan. It's the perfect form factor and great for the tasks I do (have it setup to be my media controller as well so I can play, pause, skip, volume adjust, etc. WMP stuff).

Some people require "gaming" mice for gaming, I don't ;)

The G7 is amazing for gaming though its wireless. There isn't any noticeable lag. Its the pixel jumping that annoys me on low DPI mice. What is your software sensitivity level in Windows and SetPoint? Only when you put it exactly in the middle, and turn acceleration off, does the cursor move exactly 1 pixel for every 1/800th of an inch. You'll have to move your mouse several inches to cover your entire monitor. If you're moving it any less then you are missing pixels in between, which can be extremely annoying in Photoshop/games.

Actually, come to think of it I only need to move my mouse within a 2cm x 1.5cm rectangle to cover my entire 22" monitor from corner to corner.

I didn't "need" a gaming mouse either. I had a 400DPI optical mouse. Its only when I used one (followed by several others) I realized how shitty anything sub 1600DPI is.

Nice setup Ipaq. The case looks real nice.

Sure if you're comfortable with moving your mouse 8.1CM to cover your 2560 pixel wide screen !!!!! Thats just insane in a fast game. If you're moving it any less to cover the screen then you are jumping pixels.

You must suck at games then. I can play all fps games (mainly cs:s and tf2) with 800DPI and 3 in game sensitivity.

This has nothing do with skill. The very fact that your sensitivity is 3 means that your input is extrapolated. If your screen is 1024 pixels wide and you move the mouse slowly, you will find for example that the cursors goes from pixel 1,2,4,5,7,9 etc instead of covering each one, no matter how slow you move it. You will find that at very long range you cannot aim exactly on an opponents head for example. No matter how hard you try the crosshair will either be on the left of his head or on the right and will never settle in the middle. If it covers all when you move it slowly then you have mouse acceleration on and your "skill" is a joke.

Your long posts torch me.

Obviously the two you can't comprehend the relationship between mouse DPI, sensitivity and monitor resolution. You are trying to disprove a fact. Enough off topic. Someone delete these. There's nothing wrong with using a low DPI mouse, provided your sensitivity doesn't extrapolate the input. But then you need to move more, thats all.
