Nice experiment though, I like the PSPgo and have no problem with digital distribution (am I ahead of my time? xD)
Anyway, so it's kinda certain there will be no N2000 PSPgo, no "PSPgo Slim&Lite", eh?![]()
Nice backpedal from the Sony brass there. Experiment my ass.
The one and only problem with the PSPgo is/was it's pricing. It's worth $160 tops, even though its controls are great, battery life is the same, it still comes with that sucky slow wireless that makes it impossible to download big games off the store on it. I always use MediaGo, tbh. Also, it's piracy proof which makes most people not buy it when they have the hackable 3000 on the shelf.
Didn't you make that video of a 6.10 HEN running on the PSPgo? I know, obviously because Davee is behind that hack that it's not meant for piracy, but if a door can be opened for homebrew, it can also be opened for piracy.
Yes, but it's not going to be released.
I'm aware of that, just making a point that it must not be piracy proof, while also being a smart ass.
I thought this was obvious? Personally, I don't know WHY Sony was so unsure about digital distribution, since the most commercially successful platform (iOS) was 100% digital, but it was obvious the PSPgo wasn't a long term solution. Nintendo could release a stopgap (DSi) to test the waters, because they're so far ahead with the DS, but Sony should have cut their losses, and went all in with the PSP2. Now Apple is even further ahead, and the DS2 is right on the horizon.
When the hell did Sony become the slow moving curmudgeon of the industry? Some of their decisions the last 5-6 years have just been mind boggling. They are to gaming what Microsoft has become to... Well, everything except gaming. Reactionary, and not proactive.
