Trigun
That guy, who Records Music.
Sorry, but NO, NO, NO , NO.
Only do that if you want terrible recordings.(especially with a commonly used DAW such as Cubase or FLstudio)
Go out, do a little research on USB Or even PCI-e Audio Interfaces and buy one within your price range has a feature set you'd like.
If recording digitally; this goes hand in hand with Audio interfaces; you must use ASIO drivers. Most if not all audio interfaces use it. If you get one that doesn't use it. Get rid of it and get one that does.
Most audio interfaces have 1/4 inch inputs for electric instruments. And even in lots of cases XLR inputs for microphones. and Midi In's and Outs
So get one, they aren't terribly expensive and much much more worth your time than recording with WaveOut or onboard sound drivers and Line ins (which heavily compromise sound quality)
Another rule is, it's not how much something costs. It's how you use it. So getting more expensive equipment won't help you sound any better if you don't know how to use them properly. Sure they help you get a better sound easier than cheap stuff. But, as someone who owns a 99$ interface (Guitarport) I can easily make recordings better than people with much more expensive interfaces.
