.. you dont have to scoll down quickly really once you click the HEN folder it will automatically boot up no scrolling required :)


BUT NO HOMEBREWS can run atm... so dont bother come back tomorrow :)
 
Will the firmware say 5.03 ChickHEN?
AND WHY IS THE HEN NOT WORKING?
I KNOW IT DOESN'T RUN HOMEBREW, BUT WHEN I RUN IT, IT JUST CRASHES!

Little question though, not sure if anyone else is experiencing this but with a UMD in the PSP I can get this to load almost 100% of the time but without one I cannot get it to load at all, anyone else have this happen?

*NEW DISCOVERY!!!!!*

after you run the HEN(exploit part) goto network update...it says: "Currently, the servers may be down for maintenance or updating. please try again later. (20000001)" but restart your psp and it will allow you to update. my guess is davee added his own network update to it....:w00t: :w00t: :w00t:

Or he could just have disabled it

did all of you here manage to trigger the HEN? i did all the tricks...scrolling waiting for it to load but then it just crashes and shutsdown...

Use the instructions I posted earlier which I'm too lazy to check may exactly be the same as the readme:

h.bin in root (the screen that pops up as soon as soon as you plug in your psp)

put the folder containing the right pics and tiff file in the PHOTO folder which is in the PSP folder. then safely remove the usb. Then open that folder in your psp with the pics but dont scroll or anything just let it load and it will crash your psp. And then do it again and it should work. Make sure the USB isn't in, there is no UMD in, and so on. Try that EXACTLY 3 times and then come back and say it doesn't work. IT WILL! The first time doesnt count because it's supposed to crash then.

this is what i did:

*put the slim.tiff file *only* into the psp/photo folder
*put the h.bin in the root of the MS (first thing that pops up)
*changed the character set to "multilingual latin 1 (850)"
*restarted the PSP
*then goto the photo and press "X" and immedaitly press "O" repeadity and rapidly as possible till it exits then scroll over to the PSn icon and back to photo and press "X" then "O" immedaitly and as fast as possible
(this takes practice) u may get a few crashes but once u ge the hang of it it works either the first of second time around.

It doesn't work (for me)
 
Hmm. Are you sure the bin file is in the right place? And the actual folder with the pics is in the PHOTO folder (not just the pics but the folder itself)?

If that isn't working I guess it really does vary greatly from user to user but I couldn't get the old exploit working at all but this one works perfect every time.
