Tiff Exploit - HEN Information

Why don't you guys make your tests on a psp slim that can be hacked?? i guess it's the same ram block for any slim

well currect me if im wrong. but i dont think its exactly the same. diff hardware. and plus some things could be cleard apon the reboot. and there could be some extra security, im guessing there is cause you cant use a Pandora battory.

I think you're wrong, so, why MaTiAz exploit ran on psp ta88v3 and 3K???
well, the exploit running. and debugging it is two compleatly different things. he can get it to run. but he just needs to find whats not working the way it should (thats why he needs to debug it)

What makes it harder is when u debug the exploit find out you have to reconstruct ur program.

The problem is due to the lack of debugging utilities on the 3k and such. We've got the kernel mode working on that but our testing time with 3k is limited and debugging is next to zero at reboot time (which is where errors occur). Obviously, we're trying our best, but we are running on theory here (at least for the 3k and TA-88v3) and it takes time to fix it.

Thanks for the information, and we very much appreciate the hard work you are doing and holding for you fingers and again
Thanks!

Yes i did, davee's team can proof on it and there's not any risk if they brick it
No,I meant the hackable slim has a different motherboard than the unhackable slim and 3K. And he needs to debug them on the unhackable motherboards. Thats what i think.

Now i have no idea what im talkin about! :S

true. or even a ":' where there should be a ";" oh man that can get irritating cause its so hard to see

thats also true. because different events can occur on the different boards

God this topic moves quickly.

sorry if im having a n00b moment here. but from what you say. Apple is resposable for finding the fix for the 5.50 psp OFW? (not directly of coarse i mean basicy. they have found the exploit on there system and found a fix that s0ny ended up using?)

Not the TIFF exploit for 5.03, but the one for 4.xx that was fixed as of 5.00. It's not a well-known exploit because I never released the POC. But yes, that is what happened otherwise.

oh thats cool! well. hmm. i got my hands on an old phat. ill fliddle with it for a while lol. :)

Believe me I know it's pointless but to clarify: I'm not talking about people who have CFW; I'm talking about the people posting in this thread (and the hello world one) who seemingly don't understand what HEN does.

Unfortunately people heard about this exploit, heard that a HEN was being released, and rather than get themselves educated they immediately got excited and thought they were getting custom firmware (and/or an ISO loader).

I know what you where talking about, i was saying people are accustomed to CFW (Hence the ISO thing), most uneducated in the scene are under the impression that this libtiff kernel-hike is going to enable CFW as if by magic.

Amen to shooting blind... pain in the arse isn't it.
