I have the exact same problem.

Everything else seems to work fine (JellyCar, SNES9X, Dungeons:AssaultRun, working).

Already tried two Daedalus including Beta2

Any ideas/Sugestions?

I'm not sure if that's what this means exactly, but if you open the h.bin in a hex-editor there is a string in there somewhere that points to an updatehen.txt at davee's site...;)

This will not happen. The tiff exploit is unstable and this does not depend on the "reputation" of developers, but on the vulnerability itself...
The only way to make it more stable would be to find a complete different user mode exploit, which everyone (including you) should be looking for right now. A new user mode exploit would probably also help us to run HEN on the new 5.50 firmware.
 
There is no reason to be looking for a usermode exploit on 5.50.

The update did nothing special but remove TIFF, give the internet search option for games, and added the message bar. Maybe when the next firmware comes out it'll be worth it, but for now there is no reason.


EDIT: You can't access Playstation Store... Thats actually a good reason now that I think of it, haha.

That, and the fact that the kernel exploit will be fixed in 5.51. Finding a user mode exploit on 5.50 would be better than nothing. Finding it on further firmwares will have no point as long as we don't have another kernel exploit...
 
Any more hen solutions?

I've been doing this for about 11 hours or something now

i've restarted countless times, went through 150+ pages of solutions, and i'm losing my mind

i got it working VERY randomly last night but that was the brokhen and that was 1/500 times

this is very stressful

ive found the best way is to jsut follow davee's instructions and once all the files are where they should be i.e. h.bin in root directory and the .tiff files in PSP->PHOTO

simply start your psp (with default settings) no theme change etc.

and scroll over to PHOTO -> MEMORY STICK

and just dont press anything, just let the images of the eggs load and the screen should go green enabling the HEN.
 
I'm new to this whole firmware thing, and had a question about this. I got the HEN installed and the firmware was 5.03 ChickHEN. Then I was told to install Hellcat's Flash Recovery and did that and now my firmware is 5.00 M33-4. After this I'm having trouble figuring out how to run emulators and the such. Can some one point me in the right direction so I can figure this out. I know this is probably the wrong place, but I got into this modding stuff after hearing about the HEN.
 
I finally got it

i reset my settings last night but i didnt feel like adding all my networks again so i refused to reset my settings

that was the problem worked on the first try

so anyone with a phat keep in mind that making your psp essentially brand new might do the trick

im gonna flash CFW right now no way i'm going through that crap again
 
Has anyone actually heard from Davee since the first release of HEN?
