But I saw some where that it does something to flash? and wouldnt you have to re-apply the plugins every time u re-started the PSP as the HEN goes off when the PSP does and how would you manage the plugins because there wouldnt be a recovery menu!:confused:

no idea about that.
sounds like a algorithm looking for shellcode. not sure.
maybe egghunt.bin is sort of data using for exploiting generated by different cases. I found it doesnot matter if I delete it. no any effect for hen loading.

The latest cxmb plugin does nothing to the flash. It's 100% memory.

And I'm theoretically speaking, since HEN doesn't have plugin support yet. An update will be made though that will support plugins in the near future. Whether the plugins will be enabled in a recovery mode type menu, I don't know.
 
Sony loves the carrot and stick method how many people do you think they will get with the new Hannah Montana and a Assassin's Creed PSP Entertainment Pack cause I am sure that these new bundles will come with 5.50 firmware. Goodbye homebrew on those bundles.

The typical buyer for that bundle would probably be a 10 year old girl, I highly doubt they would even know what hacking is. Or it could be some 40 year old creep. Either way though, I am sure it will come with either 5.50 or something higher.

:o hey, don't be a sexist dude. and yeah, it'll be pretty sure the future releases will be on 5.50 due to the HEN. same way they "almost" phased out lower versions when ta88v3 came out. anyway, has anyone confirmed the 100% working tiff-HEN if it really is 100% working?

Yea, I made a better download because the one he had didn't have the h.bin and the thumbs.db file in the chickhen file. Here is a link I made: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=S45DXQ1T

It works 100% if you immediatly scroll down as fast as you can. The download only has the slim.tiff But its a bit faster than the other one to, because the thumbnails load faster because they aren't .gif images, they are just random colored jpegs.

There suppose to be releasing a Assassin's Creed one too which would interest the older buyers.

Hey i just thought I could be wrong but with this hen released wouldn't it mean that someone would be able to Dump the Pre-Ipl of the psp3000 and Crack it?

I'm not completely sure, but the PRE-IPL cannot be accessed through the firmware. It must be dumped before the IPL is loaded. Correct me if I am wrong! :)
 
Can an eboot be coded to cause the firmware to reboot but have some part of the psp to stay active, and that active part will read, then dump the pre-ipl? Of course, if this were possible it seems unlikely at this point that anyone with the knowledge to write this program, would actually write it. Still, it would be interesting to know if this were possible.
 
Guys, sorry for the dumbest question, but I can't start HEN at all... I've tried everything, but no luck... I'm trying to run it on 3004 fw 5.03 but it just freezes every time :( Do u have any idea, what am I doing wrong? (it doesn't work with davee's pics, neither with ones with colors...)

Come on, sleep mode doesn't eat battery that much.
If I keep my psp in sleep mode, I can still use it a week after that.
