Multi Battlefield: Bad Company 2

BF2 was a game I really liked. The vehicles in it were great, the levels were big but not too big, and 64 players was great as well. This game sounds great but if people just run in only worrying about killing people it's going to suck.

Will this game have 64 players when it comes out? I noticed on the beta website it said 32 but does anyone know if there's any plans to increase it?

Ah, I see. I might give it a chance. I'm still iffy about the vehicles though.

Honestly, I'm not a big fan of vehicular combat in games like this either, but I think they're tastefully done and not overkill at all. It actually balances everything out quite nicely I'd say.

In BF2 every time you saw a vehicle on the horizon you'd be like OH FUCK TANK! RUN! OH FUCK JEEP RUN! OH FUCK TRANSPORT WILL RUN YOU OVER! RUN!

In Bad Company 2 when someone sees a tank its like, lets blow it up!

Tanks are easier to take out in this game then the previous one. Before they were overkill. now as long as you have a rocket or some c4 they aren't much.
This game is perfectly balanced.

Yesterday I had the experience of a building collapsing on top of me and the crate thingy that you have to guard killing me and counting as suicide and blowing the crate up....

I love to do that.

When a building is reaching its total destruction point, I place c4 on the walls in the bottom floors and when the crate is going to blow up, I set off the c4 and watch the building collapse on the opposing team.

Do you guys think it's too late to get a key to get into the multiplayer beta? Was really hoping to try the online.

Almost everyone will recommend that you buy it. You get a beta key if you pre-order online. 'Suggest you get the Steam version since the Steam overlay works in-game. Its much better than the crappy in-game friends system.

Was hoping to try out the PC beta but can't get a key and don't want to pre-order a game that I might not end up playing when I get it (I'm tight on money too)

Yeah judging by what you guys are saying I figured people would just suggest buying it, but I'm kind of picky when it comes to games and one of those people who really needs to play it before to know if I like it or not.

console versions look like crap without AA and i played it last night and wasnt too impresses

Consoles don't compare to PCs, especially playing first person shooters. Besides, if I'm going to think about buying it for the PC, why the hell would I not want to try it on the PC first?

dosnt look that bad...not in HD anyways

It looks bad on consoles...end of story. My roomates even commented and said the graphics were horrible. Most of the blame though can be put on the lack of Anti-Aliasing. It looks great in x3sphere's DX11 video and probably just as good in DX10 on my PC but I have yet to try it out.

To me it feels like all the other Battlefield games, they are always great when you play the demo but it just becomes old after a while. There was absolutely no communication on my team on the Xbox 360 so I decided to just be the sniper and then I found 3 or 4 of my teammates doing the same thing after a few minutes...then they all died because they don't know how to properly hide themselves and...well...we lose.

The game's fun will be short-lived for me as it's not as "competitive" as MW2 for me. The tide is always turning in MW2 but with the game-mode presented in the demo it seems like it will get old pretty fast (and there's no way to gauge how well your team is advancing).

Sniping is fun in this game, that much I will say. I would really like to get my hands on the PC beta or the PC demo if it ever comes out.

@ El Diablo: It gives you the basic sense of the gameplay mechanics; how guns fire, how much kick back there is, how effective the various guns are at various ranges, etc. If you can try it out on the consoles I recommend it just to get a good sense of how the game plays.
