That's the part where I said fuck it and switch to regular.
You just have to keep pushing forward, if you just stay back and pick them off, they will just keep respawning in waves.
Black Ops killed my computer. xD

Yeah it's a bit more demanding. I had to drop down to 2XAA to get a stable 60 frames. With MW2 I was able to max out AA.

Any PS3 players having server issues? I went 25-7 in my second game and none of the stats for that match synced at all >_< Not too bad, but still lame nonetheless.

Grr the wait (although I'm still in classes). it's cool that it shows the K/D ratios on the leaderboard, I know I'll be aiming for 3.0+ every match (with and without camping!)

My shit got delivered while I ran home for lunch today. So annoying that I have to wait until late tonight to play.
A friend of mine hit up a Target before work at 7:45 this morning. There was about 12 guys between 30 & 40 waiting for it to open. One of them asked if they were all there for the "linen sale," I found that funny for some reason.

Looks awesome there. It didn't help that my computer was caked in dust. Just ordered new CPU, RAM and mobo though, I'll reuse the rest of my setup. Hopefully I'll be back up and running in the next week.

Yeah turns out my computer can't run this game well either, even though it ran MW2 fairly well. It's kinda expected from my specs, but I'm planning to upgrade my mobo and cpu too. Gonna be a few weeks though which is a bit of an annoyance.

It wasn't that the game really did it, I think my computer was just on it's way out anyways. Cheap CPU and motherboard :\
I took a pic of what's happening when it freezes. Important to note that the corruption happens whether I use my 4850 or the onboard graphics so I'm sure we can rule out that possibility. Also, I tried swapping the RAM and same result.
Very odd, that usually points directly to a fault GPU

That's what I thought but if so then it shouldn't be happening on the onboard graphics chipset. :S gunna take my card around to a friends I think just to double check if the 4850 is still good, otherwise I'll order a gtx460

took me nearly 12 hours, but i finally beat the campaign on veteran, was quite fun imo
Had a chance to play.
The campaign seems good so far; the plot looks decent, but it's too early to judge. By far, this is a step forward visually for a COD game; the animations & models fit very nicely. Gameplay is still very much linear, though. Cuts straight to the action, as you would expect from a game like this.
Soundwise, the weapons have a nice pop, the only thing I could criticize this early are the voices; they come across as if they're standing beside you and in perfect quality, which breaks immersion a bit.
Multiplayer looks good too. Didn't have the time to join a proper server, but I loaded up a game with Veteran bots. They seem competent enough, albeit AI aiming is evident. The game pulls names from your friends list; which was a nice touch.
Performance wise, my build seems to take it fairly well. Average of 60 fps in multiplayer, little lower for the single player campaign. The options are also more spartan than previous titles, however, I saw a console prompt so I would assume intricate components can be tweaked through some cvars.
So far, very impressed. A step up from MW2.
