It very much can (at least on the non3g iPhones). Doing it myself.
Clean d/g to 1.0.2 is no problem at all.

You can do this on Windows btw, you just need a patched version of the firmware from somebody who can make one on a Mac.

Moose may well have been "late" but at least he has highlighted an important release with it's own thread rather than leaving it to get buried in here.
Does anyone know where I can find the 2.21 iBSS file? No linking, just a hint will do.
You download the 2.1.1 ipsw file. Then you name the extension to a .zip and extract. It should be in there.
